  • What time is it really? Which way are we going? Time looms over us all, hanging right in front of our heads…. / Was completed in watercolor and gouache media on Arches cold-press 180lb. paper, circa 2007.

  • Yay! So I am finally done! phew Crappy title.. I know. Ok, so here we go.. So sorry it took a lot longer than I said it would but work and school gets the best of me sometimes. For those of you who don’t know, this is Chrno and Rosette from Chrno Crusade. I absolutely love Chrno! So.. I wanted to portray the way they feel about eachother without hugging or kissing. I hope it worked out. Yes, Chrno looks surprised.. it’s intentional, I swear! I thought it was cute.. lol Now before anybody chews me out.. I know that her first dress does not look like this! I took the design of her second dress.. but kept the coverage of her first. I wanted her to be cute and sweet with a little less leg. XD All in all, I’m pleased with the outcome. I used one of my landscape photos for the background and it turned out rather well. Anyway, tell me what you think. I worked so long and my hand has fallen asleep.. so I really want to know! Time / » 10h 35m Materials / » Pencil, Photography, Photoshop w/mouse. Reference(s) / » Yes – Rosette’s Pocketwatch/Chrno’s Headband. Artist Note / » The characters Chrno and Rosette belong to Kadokawa Shoten. / » The picture above belongs to me.

  • Chronos Eo Gaia : Time To Move On Earth
    by Arisephoenix

if we’ve been on this earth a billion years / or just a couple thousand?// / symmetry got in the snow, / or how the rain creates a bow, / why…

Most of the conflict we experience in this world is based entirely around the fact that people would rather label a possibility as an absolute truth, than admit that we are ruled by rules of unknowns. Fear of not having an answer seems to be a common human feature, so they focus on what feels the best and reject or deny everything else. I, personally, find the unknowns to hold the most peace, for who am I to claim anything as the one and only reality?

  • Chronos is usually portrayed through an old, wise man with a long, gray beard, such as “Father Time.”

  • or time flies. e.g. it took 10 seconds for this shot!

  • The remains of planet Chronos after its apocalyptic deep impact. (16”x20” oil and acrylics on canvas. More at http://spaceart.us)

  • Cronus or Kronos, (Ancient Greek Κρόνος, Krónos), was the leader and the youngest of the first generation of Titans, divine descendants of Gaia, the earth, and Ouranos, the sky. He overthrew his father and ruled during the mythological Golden Age, until he was overthrown by his own sons, Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon, and imprisoned in Tartarus [1] or sent to rule the paradise of the Elysian Fields.[2] As a result of his association and virtuous Golden Age, Cronus was worshipped as a harvest deity, overseeing crops such as grains, nature, agriculture, and the progression of time in relation to humans in general. He was usually depicted with a sickle, which he used to harvest crops and which was also the weapon he used to castrate and depose Ouranos. In Athens, on the twelfth day of every month (Hekatombaion), a festival called Kronia was held in honor of Cronus to celebrate the harvest. Cronus was also identified in classical antiquity with the Roman deity Saturn. The etymology of the name is obscure. It may be related to “horned”, suggesting a possible connection with the ancient Indian demon Kroni or the Levantine deity El. In the Alexandrian and Renaissance periods there was some confusion with the word χρόνος, Chronos, meaning time. [Text from wikipedia]

Whew… it’s now 2:00 a.m. and I’m done with this. Including make-up and taking the photo of myself, photoshop, etc 4 1/2 hours of work. I felt the need to make something. I haven’t made a single new piece of art since September and I felt out of touch with myself (yeah everything so far that I’ve poster was “older” work). This is pretty much the vision I had, not quite what I wanted, but my artwork usually never ends up exactly as I had wanted it. I love it regardless. I originally wanted hot pink hair but couldn’t find the right wig that I own that would work for that. This character is kinda like the controller of time, the god Chronos or also known as “Pluto” the god of death and time. Living at the end of time, if you make it angry it’ll warp you into another dimension lol.

  • This is as close to “fan art” as I generally like to get. Using one of my own original characters- Nyrva Dragonrhyne- I drew her masquerading (“cosplaying” for those who insist upon the term! LOL!) as “Kid” from “Chrono Cross” with an appropriate motiff. Fan art may have it’s place. And in this case, I used one of my own OCs for the scene rather than draw a scene a million other fan artists have recreated into the ground—as much as I like Chrono Cross! LOL! Pencil and Photoshop Radical Dreamers / Le Tre’sor Interdit!

  • Chrono Cross – Copyright Squaresoft (SquareEnix) Kid and Serge Needed to get back into the drawing mood and there just isn’t enough fanart for this game out there.

  • The Ancient Greek god of Time. This artwork was created accidentally during my work on Zeus for my Theogony project
