Taken in Finland (Lapland) in Dec 2006. It was around -30C and I needed to keep taking the battery out the camera to warm it up in my glove to give it a few minutes more power. Thanks for looking (best viewed large!).

I was having fun experimenting one night on our street as I loved how the lights reflected off the snow on our street, these log homes with big windows really allowed this scene to come out. Tried and tried over and over to give it that festive feeling around X-mas, anyhow, here`s the result. / Canon XT, sigma 17-35mm 2.8 over 15 sec

Love this little lone tree. Trying to capture every season…have winter and fall so far. Somehow I missed summer and spring….next year maybe?

Jingle Bells Jingle Bells, / Santa’s lost his sleigh, / And where on earth has Santa gone, / In aussie-land today? Snow? In Geelong? In December? / Well, that’s the glory of Infrared!

A different perspective on the world. Also a nice seasonal picture. It’s a picture of glass globes that have been hanging in the front window at home and I took the picture through them into the winter wonderland outside. It’s not a recent picture, it was taken two, maybe three winters ago. Thought I’d put it up and let it get some exposure! I’m really happy with how it turned out! I hope you enjoy this piece. The same image as earlier but with lots more snow painted in and I’ve painted in Father Christmas’s arm outstretched, and footsteps through the snow. I’ve added a light effect and played around with the brightness, contrast and midtones. / Beware….....This could become an obsession.

I took this picture right after a heavy snowfall, this liitle fellow was taking refuge in my Bluespruce.

My new wolf friend seemed to like having his pictures taken – he stared “up close and personal” right into the lens. I believe it is only fitting to donate the proceeds of the sale of this image to a park that more than 200 wolves call home! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park

I started with a PS blue background, coloured the bottom and shaped the snow drift. Then I copied and pasted these two little penguins onto the background. Added VanDerLee snow, which is a plugin for PS. Then added the stars and colours with Dreamlight photo editor. /
