This one is another digital oil painting. / It started as a photo of me and a baby deer that was having a bad day. Our Chihuahua named Gumby was outside barking like crazy early one morning, so I rushed outside expecting to find a snake about to eat him up! / Nope--this crazy little dog was running around a tiny fawn that I guess he had chased till it was confused and afraid. Old Gumby thought he was an Alpha Wolf (about a foot tall) and he had “taken down” his prey—he had a serious swagger and attitude problem going on after that! HAHAHA! I gently took the baby deer and cared for it till the wildlife people could come and rescue it. This photo was taken of me holding this very fawn. Then it happened--imagination! I saw that this could be an interesting twist on Rudolph and Santa. I had to change my huge Irish nose to a more rounded Santa nose—hope you like it. / LotsaLuv, / Dale

Murphy was the only one of my cats who loved this toy, I do not know if it was because he was just a kitten or if it was because he was a boy. It was snowing heavily in late evening upon our arrival in St Johann, Austria. This lovely lone tree was full of snow and went straight into my must photograph journal, I decided to wait till morning to get the best light. The only thing that stopped my planned photograph, the morning rain. Although this shot was not what I was intending I am happy with the result as the mist did help in isolating the tree. Greeting Cards / Framed Print / Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 70mm, f/11, 1/400 sec, ISO 200. No filters used. A massive amount of dust and hair removed in photoshop, where had my camera been and OMG, how do I stop the sensor getting that dirty? Due to the amazing amount of comments I have had from Solitude I thought I’d share this shot. I couldn’t help myself, I had to walk up to the tree, hence the footprints in the virgin snow, although retracing my footprints to take the photograph was very difficult. I’m so glad every now and then it snows heavily in England. Just after stuffing the car into a ditch, through expert test driving on ice, ahem, actually practicing handbrake turns, oops. While deciding how to dig the car out on the ditch in Eaton Bray, Bedfordshire, UK, I noticed these lovely trees. / It was a fair old way into the middle of the field to get the right perspective but I’m glad I did. / I hope you like it. I’m so glad every now and then it snows heavily in England. I rushed out looking for potential spots to photograph, I took this one in Mentmore, Bedfordshire, UK. I’m not sure I should have been there as it looked like a private golf club. There were keen golfers ready and willing to play with their orange balls and stern looks, probably due to my entrance – as I didn’t get onto the grounds the traditional way – I hoped they didn’t mind too much as I scampered back to the car. Greeting Cards / Framed Print / Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 52mm, f/5.6, 1/125 sec, ISO 200. No filters used. A nice sturdy but ice covered tripod. A keen sense of fun. A slight touchup job in CS4.
