Taken from Calton Hill looking across to the Bridges and below is Market Street. The very large building is the old Scotsman newspaper buildings but has now been changed into a 5 star hotel. When I first viewed the finished work I was not so sure about it, but then it started to grow on me and gave me the impression of and old vintage style postcard. Since 2006 this image has become a pretty good seller on the stretch canvas.

Decided to give winter holidays greeting cards a try this year :) It appeared that it’s so fun to make them and also they bring some holiday mood to my home… We go to Ukraine to visit our parents and friends on winter holidays, so I kind of excited and can’t wait already ;) / I’ve also set up a little winter holidays shop over at zazzle . Having spent too many days exploring and photographing London, I decided to get out into the Countryside and do a few rural landscapes. I chose to shoot in Buckinghamshire. The late afternoon spring sunshine washes across the slopes suurounding this tiny, ancient, still occupied cottage is in a hamlet called Lee Common. It has no road leading up to it, no driveway and nowhere to keep a car. I must surely be one of the last houses in the UK to sit as it does in the middle of beautiful parkland, surrounded by grazing sheep. If you like this image, it was shot just yards from here: Canon 10D / 1/80th sec at f 8.0 / Sigma 15-30mm lens at 30mm / ISO 100 Slight adjustments in Lightroom and yes, the grass really IS that colour!
