  • A Christmas message for all!! Well, maybe not all … there may be some people who take Christmas seriously. / Me, I hold a grudge – my birthday’s December 25! Maybe you’d prefer something a little less subtle: Or perhaps as a card:

  • Cold winter landscape

  • A fractal with a message.

  • My Christmas card design for this year. I wanted something simple and beautiful that borders on traditional as far as imagery but takes it into a slightly new realm. I didn’t use traditional colors really and I added a touch of magic. I think the result turned out well. It’s the best holiday card design I’ve come up with thus far.

  • It is what it is. This has been made for the very talented Deborah. x Talent

  • Photoshop filters liquify and stained glass

  • It was a quiet Christmas for my husband and me, the first one we’ve spent alone in our 35 years of marriage and 58 years of life. We spent the last daylight hours of our Savior’s birthday at Lake Martin, in St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, and this is the scene we viewed. I’ve named it Silent Night in the Deep South, a quiet ending to a quiet and peace-filled day.

  • This is an original linoleum print from my Holiday Series. It was created for my annual Christmas card. It was a fairly obvious attempt to illustrate the universal appeal of hope and peace during the holidays.

  • ALL profit will go to the flipzfoundation which will officially be launched on Dec 6th to support rural women with Cancer & the ultimate goal of the foundation is to support all adults who live in rural areas with Cancer & or Mental Illness with the basic necesseities such as, hooking up with local registered volunteers, recieving vouchers of all kinds especially food & cooked meals or someone to teach husbands to cook! Link people up with all available services financial advisors physio’s Garden services, Dieticians etc all in one basket delivered to their door by volunteer or nurse. These baskets would take so much pressure off families who’s lives are about to be turned upside down & inside out. l believe country towns can take care of themselves for the most part they just need to be linked up properly & respected in limitations or capabilities to give & the government need to come to the party & support those who want to support each other. / This Calander will go up for Auction at my Art Show on Dec 6th & l promise to let you know how well it goes. Over the past 3 weeks l am proud to say no one has knocked this Bold lady back & l have raised in way of raffles donations sponsorship & the Sales of my work almost $12,000 & l couldn’t do it without the beautiful warm & caring hearts just like those who have donated their masterpieces to this Calander. l just WISH l could hug everyone of you who have helped me along the way XXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOO / Oh l almost forgot l even had MP Mr Ben Hardmen visit me last week & he listened to everything l had to say & will approach the Minister for Grants to see how the Government can help the flipzfoundation ! • This is a drive by shooting. On a coach to St. Johann, Austria, the coach driver was tearing around the smallest hair pin turns on tiny Alpine roads as if he was late for some dumpling festival. I had the camera out just in case we crashed and took this photo while waiting for the crunch. Luckily that never happened. I hope you like it. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 35mm, f/3.5, 1/1600 sec, ISO 1600. No filters used. A death speed coach window in the way. I evened out the chrome abs because of the high iso. This shot is also available from a photobook collection called Rural Mementos by redtree.me © Copyright 2009 David Reid – redtree.me – All rights reserved.
