  • The world is about to end because of global warming. Temperatures are soaring, ice is melting, glaciers are retreating, seas are rising, and we’re all going to fry. We’re all up to here with worry about it. The Royal Society says there’s no longer any room for scientific doubt about it. Britain’s Chief Scientist says it’s a bigger threat than global terrorism. / Every global warming sceptic is denounced as clinically insane. Every developed nation wags its finger at every other (well, ok then, at America) and tells it to Emit Less. Every politician and B-list celebrity now anxiously measures his or her carbon footprint. Every British schoolchild is now drilled to believe that man-made global warming is a Fact along with poverty and the existence of Belgium. It’s a wonder any of us has any incentive to get up in the morning. :) Online Galleries: / Surrealism art prints / 2d3d graphic design software / 3ds models max software

  • Mother Earth is a beautiful Queen endowed with many treasures. The skies are her satins. The sun is her gold. The moon is her silver. The clouds are her pearls. The air is her crystal. The seas are her diamonds. The birds are her minstrels. The butterflies and the bees are her ladies-in-waiting. The flowers and leaves are her brocades. The earthworms are her attendants. We are the lords and the ladies of her court. If we do not respect Queen Earth, she will fall ill, and her treasures will tarnish or be lost forever. If we respect Queen Earth, she shares her treasures for all to glory in. Original Art by Angela F. Acrylic on Canvas. 1869 views. • AudioHive / For the sound competition.. I sat and thought about sound, what it is, what it means. Our attraction to sound is primal, as universal as the world itself. / It has structure and body, with no definable form. It can be all things, / natural, mechanical & electric. Sound brings us together, forms and strengthens communities. So this design is a visual representation of those thoughts.. I hope you enjoy it. Details can be seen: / here / and here NOTE: I`ve uploaded 2 different colourways for this design, which I normally wouldn`t do, but both speak / of something to do with my concept. Let me know which you think is the better entry? and if you like it enough, please throw a vote my way

  • 9/11/09 ~ Featured in Wildflowers of North America ~ Thank you ♥ 8/12/09 ~ Featured in Shots in the Fog ~ Thank you!!! Pretty wildflowers (Loosestrife) taken 7/27/09 – on a misty morning along the banks of the St. Lawrence River near Clayton, New York. Purple Loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria) – Purple loosestrife is a tall, multi-stemmed (30-50 per plant), perennial forb that can grow up to 10 ft. (3 m) in height. The opposite or whorled leaves are dark-green, lance-shaped, sessile, 1.5-4 in. (3.8-10.2 cm) long and round or heart-shaped at the base. Flowering occurs in July to October, when pink to purplish flowers develop in 4-16 in. (10.2-40.6 cm) long spikes at the tops of the stems. Flowers have 5-7 petals and twice as many stamens as petals. Purple loosestrife is a serious invader of many types of wetlands, including wet meadows, prairie potholes, river and stream banks, lake shores, tidal and non-tidal marshes, and ditches. One plant can produce as many as 2 million seeds per year. Purple loosestrife is native to Europe and Asia. It was first introduced into North America in the early 1800s for ornamental and medicinal purposes. It has also been used as a nectar plant for bee-keeping.

This is a digital compilation of two cardinals who landed in my tree at different times (same day). Original photos taken January, 2008. Cardinals: The female cardinal is a familiar backyard bird. It is a buff brown bird with tinges of red on crest and wings and a large red bill. They are non-migrators and eat seeds, insects and fruit and are common visitors at bird feeders. Cardinals can be very territorial in the spring and are know to fight their own reflections.
