it’s this time of the year again….Christmas is coming to town and life is getting more and more hectic and the streets are bustling and tourists are all around. although i don’t really like Christmas, or lets say, I don’t really care for it – this year is going to be a bit different / not because of Christmas, but there’s a major change happening a couple of days before…on Dec 21 I am going to marry my long-time girlfriend – so there’s going to be a reason this Christmas might be special otherwise there’s nothing much happening in my life. / i just bouth two new lenses a / Canon EF 70-300 IS USM and a Sigma 24-60 2.8 EX DG / and have to admit that I am pretty happy with both of them – my bank account on the other hand doesn’t share this happiness of mine…

Before I forget, I just wanted to take this time to wish each and everyone on my friends list and anyone else who has left comments at my profile over the past 7 months (Gee, has it been that long already. How time flies !!) a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year indeed. Listen…......When I first heard about RedBubble and checked it out, I thought, me, on RedBubble with all these talented artists/writers/photographers etc…...NAH, not a hope in hell. BUT, I did, I joined RedBubble and I am pleased that I did. I became hooked on photography (and I still am), the people (meaning YOU, yes…...YOU !!!) were (and are) just so talented, friendly and welcoming. You all made me feel at home and couldn’t believe that some of my photos would ever be good enough to share with you all. I thank you “all” for making me feel so welcome over the past 7 months and I hope that our friendships can continue through to the end of the next year and further into the future. / Thank you to those who have helped me gain an interest in photography (more so now than I did before joining RB) and aided me with support and tips to better my skills. Many folks are posting shots of beautiful snowy scenes / But down here in Australia there’s no snow to be seen! / Its stinking hot and humid with thunderstorms all around / and the cicardas drown out everything with there familiar high pitched sound. / I could have posted a Christmasy shot / With an Aussie summer theme / Maybe me on the beach in my cossies … / ... that would be a sight to be seen! So amidst the heat and hustle / And the maddening shopping bustle / Mums will be baking cakes and puddings / for a lavish Chrissy feast with all the yummy lashings / ... served amongst the chaos and the mess of Christmas wrapping! / ... And the noise of children’s excitement as you watch and hear their joy / As they rip the paper from the box to reveal their favourite toy! And after we have stuffed ourselves until our tummy hurts / out will come the cricket bats, the darts or maybe quoits / But if you’re smart you’ll sneak away under a big old tree / lay a blanket on the ground, roll over and have a sleep! So is it all worthwile you say / To go to the bother that is Christmas Day / I for one have missed all this since my family have grown and spread / When we can’t always be together … its a thought I often dread! / So I’d like to wish my family and my friends wherever you may be / The very best at Christmas and a huge thank you for being special to me! After being with Niece and family on Christmas eve I was driving home. If I could have closed my eyes I would have. LIke the poem I wrote yesterday called How Is It I felt warm and I felt a presence of arms wrapped around me that made me smile and reminisce once again over my last 2 years since coming to RB and choosing to live again. / . / Right before I was to arrive home I came out from my attention to driving and my reverie and looked at the time, it was 11:11pm and then I looked at my miles in gas… 111.1… omg.. I thought.. it is the Universe supporting my thinking and letting me know how LOVED I am indeed. I was beaming and again I chose to think of people and situations that felt good to think about. My appreciation level was off the charts. I came inside and did my thing for bed, and snuggled up with RB.. (you) and saw that my choices for the front Home Page has been chosen for Christmas Day Morning 12:00am… it was just that time. The artists I have come to know since enjoying the amazing and loving group over at HOMEPAGE has been expanding my heART and I feel even a more ‘part of’ this bubble which frankly I feel was instrumental in showing me just what I needed to come out of a deep depression that was lasting way too long a short 2 years ago. / . / / The Artists who comprise this set of features are ones I have never met before (except my beloved keesor or Keith) but you can bet I have most of them in my watchlist now. / . / It pays to love what your life is giving you right NOW… your vibration rises to all your treasure trove of desires and you find out that the law of attraction is about the principle / ‘That which is Liken to Itself Is Drawn’... when I am feeling the appreciation for my NOW.. and choosing thoughts that feel good, my life just keeps getting better. / . / Merry Christmas Morning Friends.. / We Are Surely Blessed!! / . / Linaji

I hope this Christmas found you and left you with much joy along with the excitement of a New Year! / A special “Thanks” to each an every one of you who purchased my artwork and apparel for Christmas gifts for your loved ones this year! Thank you to all who purchased my “New Years” greeting cards and I trust everyone had a safe and exciting New Years! There was much for me to be happy for this year as it was my first year back in California and I was able to celebrate with family that I haven’t been able to with in a while. The weather alone was a Christmas gift for me; it was clear and 75 degrees, a Holiday paradise! While it wasn’t a White Christmas it was indeed a Bright Christmas, (literally…I needed sunglasses!) I simply love everything about Christmas. Decorating the tree, the incredible smells, like pine, cinnamon and clove and baked goods. I also adore creating special presents for friends and family and wrapping them up to look irresistible. This is something I share in common with my Grandpa I recently found out, we both go nuts and all out for all Holidays. Give either of us any excuse to celebrate, enjoy seasonal food and decorations and we are all over it! I always make sure to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day, carve a pumpkin on Halloween and decorate eggs on Easter…and it doesn’t end there mind you! There is just something so wonderful about getting into the spirit of the season, especially if you are a creator. This new year was just as happy for me. I spent it at home curled up in a blanket watching movies, and made it to the countdown by watching Kill Bill Vol.’s 1. And 2., with homemade popcorn. Aaaah, and that is always a recipe for happiness for this girl. There’s something about a countdown that makes my heart leap. Unfortunately that also happens to me on those late night television sales pitches, there’s just nothing like a ticking down clock to create intensity, luckily, I am aware of this, and can avoid them as to prevent irrational purchasing of useless items! Oh, but on New Years to be counting along with so many others at the same time always brings more than a touch of nostalgia to my heart. Connecting with others is something that will probably always get to me, like the way RedBubble brings so many of us together from so many parts of the world, it’s a beautiful and wonderful thing! / Now that this New Year has arrived with much joy and anticipation from me, it is now time for something new. It’s time for me to clean up and put away all of my Holiday Festivities and move forward into this new year with a clean slate, chalk full of new ideas and creations.
