One of my favourites to date. No Christmas collection would be complete without the reason… / Probably will do a few more Christmas collection cards… this one is a Fractalius background I created with some beautiful leaves, and the cross is made up of copies of my red lily bloom, and there’s always a little help from the angels… ;-)

Sales of this TShirt ? – 1 sale so far :) / Madonna and Child TShirt by Karin Taylor / Created on brown paper with white acrylic gesso / pastels and felt pen, and a little photoshopping I thought this would be a nice design for mums-to-be or those still breastfeeding their babies, it’s often hard to find appropriate clothing for the times when we are the nurturers….you could also wear this to the hospital for after the delivery, etc. It would also be nice to wear around Christmas time :D I have also created designs for cards and prints in two other variations of this design, a welcome/congratulations card/print as well as one with a fresh whitebackground that would look wonderful in the baby’s nursery

My dog River posing for a portrait in the snow. She has ALWAYS liked her picture being taken since she barely opened her eyes at two weeks of age. Her litter mates ran around when the camera aimed at them but she stood in attention every time a photo opportunity showed up! :) I’m sure she’d be glad that I donate the proceed of the sale of her photos to Nature Canada as she loves woods and her deer friends as much as I do! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.

My new wolf friend was determined to teach me how to howl after our shared lunch. He very “tenderly” took half of my sandwich from my offering hand with his mouth, lay it down on the ground and ate it layer by layer, slowly and savoringly, unlike my dog River, who would ALWAYS “wolf down” whatever is offered to her! :) So now he set out, just a few feet away, raised one front leg a tiny bit for emphasis and howled. I got down on all fours, copied the posture and did the same. Obviously he was a little dissatisfied with my learning so he repeated the whole thing another time. NEW Christmas Cards / Promotional Offer – Pack of 6 cards $21.60 / Send someone special one of these hand made wishes of hope!! / Let me know if you’d like me to personalise a card for you, I’ll be happy to… / —-—-—-—-—-—— / A Christmas Wish A star to light your way / A tree to help you breathe / A heart to help you live by Karin Taylor / —-—-—-—-—-—-——- / / The other day i began creating a new little range of Christmas Cards, in response to a challenge by Coppertrees and her Little Tree which she created in response to a poem about a little tree, there was a challenge to create something related to the poem, and I came up with the Christmas cards you’ve probably already seen I came up with the idea or concept…that tiny things are just as important as big things…. a tiny heart gifts as much life as a huge heart / a tiny tree gives us air to breathe / a tiny star provides light to guide us….. I drew each one of these symbols by hand, and painted them using pastels, coloured pencils, and marker pen….then i joined them altogether in photoshop to create a special Christmas wish, and added the poem under It matters not that things are small, or have small beginnings, they are still worthwhile, as worthwhile as the big things, and as it says in the song / from little things big things grow This is where the words on the front of the card stem from….. / I’ve kept the price lower for these cards, they are $3.60 each rather than the usual $4.95. I wanted to keep them affordable for multiple purchases. A pack of 6 cards would be $21.60 It’s also a nice Christmas message to put up for decoration around your home as a laminted print or poster on the wall, during the season of goodwill and thanksgiving.

There were many ducks in the little “live” stream that was surrounded by thick ice and deep snow and I caught three close-ups. Both males were looking towards the less colorful female and she was the only one who tried to look through the ice at her own reflection!
