HDR image of a Steinway Piano at a friends’ home. She’s quite an accomplished artist herself, she painted the images behind the piano in Tuscany Italy. A great deal of the work she does is free, for good causes. Her most recent Redbubble cause is the Fred Hollows Foundation, and with the help of many other bubblers, this new calendar is the result. The price is ONLY $22, which means YOU are able to get yourself a quality calendar, with amazingly funny and interesting images, and the Fred Hollows Foundation gets $8 for every one that’s sold. We’ve managed to gain some sponsors, who will be contributing until the end of the year, or until 100 calendars are sold!! All of the artists and models have given freely of their time and expertise to bring this awesome calendar to fruition, its a collaboration to beat all collaborations! Team work is what made it happen, and the results are a fantastic calendar and some lasting friendships. My new wolf friend was determined to teach me how to howl after our shared lunch. He very “tenderly” took half of my sandwich from my offering hand with his mouth, lay it down on the ground and ate it layer by layer, slowly and savoringly, unlike my dog River, who would ALWAYS “wolf down” whatever is offered to her! :) So now he set out, just a few feet away, raised one front leg a tiny bit for emphasis and howled. I got down on all fours, copied the posture and did the same. Obviously he was a little dissatisfied with my learning so he repeated the whole thing another time. And this time he was happy with his pupil. What a patient teacher I had! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada
