Several years ago, back in 1998, on the internet in cyberspace I began typing to a person I had never met in real life. It was just another faceless entity. This man I called mr_angel. The words would flow with ease. We conversed in typing for several years on a daily basis.Then we began to send cards at Christmas time. We confided in eachother. We spoke of many things that we maybe wouldn`t have said to someone else close to us. He was having many difficulties in his personal life. I listened alot and tried my best to help him through those times. He was having many issues to deal with divorce, Dr.`s, lawyers, family, living accomodations, loss of job, the works. I communicated with him through all this.Time passed. A lasting friendship had been built out of this. I helped him the best I could. When things got better for mr_angel, he decided to surprise me. He came to thank my family and myself in person. He traveled many miles to meet the strangers who helped him through the bad times. Then after a few days in our town, mr_angel went back home. / we continued to communicate via phone and the internet. However, mr_angel ran into some difficulties. He was at a gas station and the canopy over the top of the pumps fell and hit him on the head. It knocked him unconscious. He had alot to endure afterwards. I had lost communication with him. The site we were communicating on closed down. mr_angel didn`t have alot of computer knowledge. He had lost my phone number and his was no longer working. He had also moved so I had no address to write him. Circumstances were leading him in other directions. When I had last heard from him, he was having severe headaches, from the accident. I tried many times to locate him. Although I was fearful of contacting his family. I wasn`t sure how things were between them all. I wanted nothing but to know he was alive and ok. Anyhow, several years had passed since I had heard a word or had a card at Christmas time from mr_angel. His last known address I had, but that had changed. I think it was the year 2001 or 02 he had that incident at the gas pumps. I had gotten a card that December. Several months passed and I had heard nothing from him. Then the months became years. I had began to think the worse. I asked other people on the internet that lived in his state if they heard of him. Or knew him. I had contact with some people that lived in the city that he lived in but they didn`t know him. However they had ways to tell whether the person was residing in that town. They investigated and he was no where to be found. I contacted by e-mail the town`s newspaper editor to see if they would have any contact with him. mr_angel had wrote an article in their paper once. I recieved no reply. I began to feel hopeless about the situation. I felt the loss of a great friend. We had communicated on that daily basis, on the internet for more than 3 years, prior to meeting. / Then today, I wake up to the phone ringing. The voice on the other end says, “Hello!” / I yell out “Oh, MY God..(Put his name here), I thought you were dead! Lord have mercy! Thank God! it`s you and you are ok!” He replied ” How about coming to the coffee shop downtown, so you can see just how okay I am”. I woke up the husband and the grandson and we all met for coffee. It was the most delightful morning wake up I have had in years! What a beautiful sight to behold! I pray we never lose contact again. I know we won`t be communicating as often as before. For the circumstances have changed for the better. For that I also thank the good Lord! I`m just so delighted mr_angel is alive and well, and things are looking up for him and his family. He is still divorced, yet I believe there is some understanding and acceptance, which replaced hurt and pain. / Back on mr_angels last visit he saw this stained glass angel and wanted his photo taken beside it. We had sent him the photos afterwards. Those photos were lost somewhere in the shuffle during his moving from place to place So today we revisited that very same angel. We did a remake of the photos. However, the stained glass window with the angel wasn`t the only angel I saw today, and for that I and my family are truly greatful.

It’s been a crazy last few days. I made too many batches of cookies, as well as a big mess. I don’t even want to smell another cookie! My brother & his band played last night, & I saw many old friends there. My aunts, uncle, & cousins came in from Indiana & Madison yesterday. After my brother’s band played, I went out to see two more friends home for winter break from college. When I was walking towards the door to go in, I slipped and fell, injuring my left knee a little. Now, we’ve gotten about 12 inches of snow overnight, with no signs of it stopping any time soon. With thoughts of all these things running through my head, I thought it was time that I jumped on here & wished everybody a happy holiday season. May you be safe in your travels & adventures, and may your time spent with loved ones be precious & memorable. (...And may you not get as much snow as we’re getting!!!!!) :-)

Hopefully l’ll get to upload a couple more tonight before we are off on holidays in a few days for 3 WHOLE WEEKS :) Our family has NEVER been on a holiday before & this holiday is mostly due to the most caring incredible people from my husbands Company Caterpillar The whole place opened so much more than their hearts & thanks to them our whole family will be sharing christmas with LOTS of family & friends in a very beautiful town where l can fish RIGHT from my verandah :) / l can continue my Chemo & heal in the best of circumstances. l’ll keepya posted :) / lf l may & before l get to teary l would like to thank so many people from across the world praying for me & my family, l do believe in Angels very deeply but religion always seemed to big for me but l have faith & l have your prayers through that & all the warmth we have been gifted with it truly does give us hope strength courage & the need to keep reaching out to others in ANY little way we can IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE / You Lot Proove That ;-P / A special thankyou to the wonderful Hosts who do such a brilliant job. l thankyou for the many features mostly in awae of those l stand beside. But we all just FIT in the flipz way & take it a day at a time with as many smiles as we can gather. / Just an update to the flipteez art show l had a ball today ringing 18 Happy people to tell them they one a prize in the flipteez raffle :-) Cool prizes too many are food vouchers & big gift baskets. l didn’t raise a great deal on the day but l/we have generated ALOT of great interest. 23 registered volunteers, Major meeting with communtiy health centre, council & hopefully a Doc, reps from the flipteez foundation & of course mwa is sceduled late Feb when everyones back on board. A Great flipteez website currently being made & sponsored up & ready Feb, / l gotta boast a little as l sold 5 pieces & alot of cards. Of course many tables at the art show were filled either brochures of help, support, information, local services. AWARENESS mental health leaflets & of course lots of Cancer information brochures. You guys were right it truly does start with little ripples but l promise you YOU MY DEAREST FRIENDS are my DRIVING force & l love it when you tell me when its time to go bed. Very soon I’m flying to London; on the 18th. I’m not going back to Canada first after all because I’m too broke to fly back to Canada then to London. So although the biggest project at school is over, things are still pretty busy with packing, cleaning and seeing as much of Rome as I can before I leave (hence I’m still quite inactive on RB and eagar to catch up when I can). I’ve also been gathering contacts for my stay in London; luckily my dad has a few friends in the UK (though not quite in London), and a few kind UK people here on the bubble have offered me their reference; (though they are not in the London area either). My dad tells me that Christmas time in London is boring and less safe because there are less people around and everything is closed. Well I still have a school assignment to do during that time anyways and that’s enough to keep me at home. But aside that, I do hope to see much of London and other cities in the UK; very much look forward to seeing my RB friends who are there :). Got a lot of research ahead of me on how to survive there and travel around the cheapest way…

I just would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy new year. I would love for you all to take just a moment and say a prayer for all the little children around the world that are unwell and spare some thought for their families at this time as they find strength to live and love. I myself have been humbled, in the past few months in my life, with visions i’ve experienced of individual little souls struggling to overcome illness … I myself have found strength through prayer. Christmas, now has an enriched meaning for my family and I, more than ever before … it is important my friends, to take time from our often busy and sometimes selfish lives to consider others and thank especially our lord at this special time for our own lives and all that we have around us in terms of what really matters … the love of our family and friends and the health that really is our wealth … and remember my dear friends … no matter who you are or what your ‘religion’ might be … your God is also my God … the only difference is in how and where we pray to our God … I believe this … and we all have an equal right to believe in what we think is true … but my God is and will forever be your God too :-) ... so love him and thank him for all that makes you the person that you are. l Hope your dreams have been refuelled for a shinier tomorrow Well my family had a lovely time in a stunning holiday home right on the Loch Sport Marina. The best thing about the home was its enormous verandah it was BIG enough to lay back on my lounge deck chair & imagine ALL of my dearest redbubble friends right there with me talking for hours on end watching the most glorious sunsets listening to the band playing in the pub just across the marina watching yachts & boats come & go all whilst family buzz’s around the huge home. l was truly truly lucky to have my girl Rielle & her beautiful boys spend a few days with us & l couldn’t of wished for a better time :P Sadly we had to cut our holiday short as l had to come back to have Chemo And as usual we ran out of money :( / BUT it is good to be home back to my bubble therapy & my garden. / l’m now past the ½ way mark in my Chemo only 2 more to go before radiation :-) / l’ve promised myself a little slower pace to start my New Year off being this Chemo is heavier than my past ones however l will be working on the flipz foundation website & setting that up properly AND of course playing with art. / NOW here’s my Upload Overload Warning & l hope you don’t get sick of my sunsets l took these photos in hope they make you feel you were right there with me as l felt you guys there in spirit XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX / Here’s to a Shinier New Year & l promise to catch up with all soon. / l have sold 3 calanders & 2 tshirts over Chrissy & l am just SO Stoked & greatful XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
