Here you see Leah praying to God before she starts her daily task of caring for her younger brother and sister, John and Sarah. Her father died shortly after our last visit in December 2007. Mother is sick. This is why I and the small team of unpaid volunteers work around the clock to help children like Leah and her family. • Please visit my Charity Website / http://www.philadelphia33.org/ Rose is my little freind from Ungwa/Fadad. She is so trusting and a real joy. She loves to pose for photographs. She will pull my hand and then say her only three English words “One photo please”. Then she stands and waits till I take it, then one she hears the click of the camera she comes back to see it in the camera screen. She laughs so much. The reason why I am sharing this with you is that Rose has Rickets, a disabling disease that causes so many in Ungwa/Fada village to have bowed and twisted limbs. yet she smiles and laughs. She wobbles like a duck when she walks. I love this child so much, as she shows much courage and bravery. She is aware that she will get worse,a s there are 10 others in the village with the same disease and 2 of those cannot walk any longer. But we are here to help. The Tractor and machinery will help them grow good quality food that will stop malnutrition, Rickets and other diseases. / Please pray that we raise the finance as soon as possible. • Taken on 24th October 2008. Tunga/Zufa Village. remote Nigeria. We first met Rachel in November 2007. She lost her husband and three children due to preventable diseases. When we met her in November 2007, she had one daughter Alice aged 7 alive. / I took this photo as she came to see me. I asked her where was Alice? She bowed her head and wept and her tears give me the answer to my question. Alice her last surviving child died on 22nd September 2008. As She explained her daughters death, The Lord brought to me this Scripture / . / QUOTE-Jeremiah 31:15 There is a sound of crying, weeping and bitter sorrow; Rachel weeping for her children; she will not be comforted for their loss. My Passion in life is to reach out and be that helping hand to those who are in sorrow, poor and sick in remote and rural villages of Africa. My inspiration is Jesus Christ and his great Love for all people. I ask all who see Rachel here in this photograph to help me and the Charity mission to raise the finance needed to buy the tools we need to help these precious people with digging deep bore wells so they can drink water that does not blind then and rob so many of their lives. Share with them a little of your time in prayer and finance. Even if you cannot give financially now, please do pray. God hears and answers prayers. Together we can save these children’s lives and spare some other mothers and fathers from experiencing the sorrow Rachel feels. • This is extreme poverty at its worst. here you see a family of 6. living in their fallen down home. The roof is full of holes and the walls washed away from rain. At night there is no shelter from mosquitoes. When we approached them and spoke to them, we found out that the Father died, and the mother went away one day and did not return home. Only the old grandparents are left to care for their grandchildren. there was little food and only an old hoe to toil their small garden. their main source of water was from a river about three miles away. later that week we met a pastor and he told us the Mother of these children was found dead in the bush about sex months ago. The eldest girl about 7 years old was very thin and weak. A boy about 3 years old had a serious worm infection. Please help us to help families like these. / Each Piece of art you buy, will help greatly. • PLEASE READ THIS. Philadelphia Mission is a UK registered Charity [Reg No: 1049410] This is David aged 11 years old, which I met in October 2008 while staying overnight in a small village. He followed me everywhere I went with his Brother and sister behind him. During the evening I would speak to David through Saidi and Joshua my mission workers. I had established from them they were orphans and that the Grandfather was doing his best to feed and care for them. Early next morning after we had a prayer meeting in the village, I was helping load our equipment into the Nissan patrol vehicle, and again David was with me. I spoke to him through Saidi and Said to him “David, I see that you really miss your parents”. He looked straight into my eyes and said, ” I am both father and mother to my brother, and everything to my sister”. Saidi and I both wept as this was not what we expected to hear. David’s words inspired us even more with great passion to help these precious poor, not counting any personal cost to us. Please Pray for David, his brother, sister and all these precious children who face terrible challenges each and every day. We are helping. We need you to help us. ALL MONEY RAISED THROUGH SALE OF MY ART, DONATED ART AND DONATIONS MADE VIA OUR CHARITY WEBSITE, DOES GO TO HELP THESE EXTREME POOR IN ISOLATED AND RURAL VILLAGES. • PLEASE READ THIS. I am an Irish born Missionary and photographer. My passion in life is to help as many children living in extreme poverty in remote and rural villages of Africa and India. My compassion and inspiration is from Gods great love for the suffering children. Taken in Tunga/Zuga village, Kebbe State, Remote Nigeria. As I was looking through some photographs stored on my Camera storage card, I came across Alfred, and It brought me back to the time I met thisboy. His Father and Mother were killed in a road accident, the precious day. His grandfather took Alfred to his little hut and there we found him. My passion and inspiration to help these precious people is from a heart of love and Gods commission to go and help those poor who suffer alone and in silence. This was their only child, and this is rare in African Culture. There are so many like Alfred, and I really mean many. The carers struggle to feed them, and the survival rate of Orphans are very low. There are no orphanages in Tunga/Zuga or indeed in The Kebbe state, except one small run down orphanage. I believe it is better to equip and help the existing carers to look after these children, where possible. But in saying that we do need to bud and run an orphanage where the carers are not capable of caring for them. Please Pray that God will bless us in helping many. We need your Prayers and finance to do this. Ask God how you can help, and you will not only be blessed, but be a blessing to Alfred and many like him. You rescue those people in times of trouble. (2) You protect them and keep them alive. You make them happy here in this land, and you don’t hand them over to their enemies. (3) You always heal them and restore their strength when they are sick. Camera: Canon EOS 400D, Lens Canon 300mm telephoto.

  • Sophia is an orphan cared for by her Grandmother. life inTunga/Zuga Village is extremely difficult. poor harvests and now no clean water makes it hard just to survive. Since I started to work with the villagers in 2006, I have seen too many unessary deaths, especially among children.there are many children here who have lost father, mother or both. My Inspiration and great Compassion is from the very heart of God. I live my life to help bring relief and empower these precious people to live better , healthier lives and at the lest provide clean water and the tools to farm and grow better good quality food. Job 29:12-16 I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. (13) The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy. (15) I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame. (16) I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out. WE WORK WITH EXTREME POOR SICK AND DISABLED IN ISOLATED AND RURAL AFRICAN VILLAGES. I invite all to Please visit Philadelphia Mission Africa Charity website: / http://www.philadelphia33.org/ This is Violet aged 15 years old. She works in the fields from sunrise to sunset. Her Parents are dead. Violet works the small plot of land hoping to grow enough food for herself, her three younger brothers and sick Grandfather. Violet has a disability caused by Rickets. This disease is common here. Her upper and lower limbs are bowed outwards. This can be completely eradicated with your help. Violet must force herself to work, or her dependants will starve. Please help us to help her and many more like her. This poem was beautifully written by a very talented poet and Writer called Adgray, here on RB. God Bless you for wring this fitting piece . DOES SHE DREAM. / Does she dream of dancing and movies and fun / this girl with the faraway eyes / Has she the wish to kiss Brad Pit / Did she cry when Heath Ledger died? / What does she wish for when Christmas comes? / an ipod or mobile phone? / Does she complain there’s no chocolate again / in the fridge when she gets home. We complain we don’t have enough to survive / Money to cover our bills / and purchase the service and goods we desire / AND the luxury home in the hills / But where does it say life must be this way / That we have and she has not / That our world be of greed luxury and games / and hers of pain and hard lot. I look in the depths of these faraway eyes / and I think of my own teenage life / How I struggled with that I was expected to do / and rebelliously got into strife / I look at my own daughter of fifteen years / And know how I fiercely protect her / I support all her learnings and all her dreams / and use all my wisdom to guide her. But they are similar these girls far apart / for my daughter also cares for her home / She looks out for her younger siblings as well / and is rarely allowed to roam. And I wonder if having is really a curse / for to have not enough creates stress / equal to that of not enough food / but granted the consequence is less I shall show all my children these faraway eyes / for this girl is also one of their peers / their ages are similar their wants must compare / how I long to abate all her tears / I cannot succeed in my western world life / I struggle myself to survive / But oh how I wish I could lavish life’s gifts / On those beckoning faraway eyes. • Taken during a Church service in Kallakurachi, India. Sunday 21st June 2009. I took this photograph just before I was called to preach to many Christians and Hindu people who had gathered in a small gods house. The temperature was 40c , and the Church building was made from wood, the walls and roof was made from galvanised tin sheeting. Despite the heat , the Fire of God was burning deep in the hearts of his people. It was in this service that God in his Love responded to the needs of the people. A young Hindu girl received her sight, others were healed from various diseases and many saved. Even those who could hear Gods word preached from outside the building via Speakers, came in and received Jesus Christ as Lord. I give God thanks and praise that he is so real and so loving. I thank God for those here on RB all around the world who pray for me, the Mission and have given money that made it possible to bless the poor and meet their needs. Without you This would not have been possible. You are all important and play a vital role. Gods Vineyard. Thank you. • My Passion in life is to e=reach out and help as many poor and suffering children as I can. We need your help. her name is Chandini and Means [moon light]. and she certainly has a wonderful shinning face. Her Smile and warm nature drew me to her . But as Pastor Explained she was an orphan and in need of care it moved me even more to share her story and those of the NARI-KARA-AVARS Indian gypsies. She sleeps with whatever family will allow her to, and even at her age makes bead necklaces to sell for £0.15p =$0.30cents. It takes almost a whole day. She sits with the older children and elders and twists the copper wire and adds beads all day. Because she cannot make the better ones she is exploited by anyone who will buy them. I appeal to all who see this and her other photo here on my site. Please make a donation. Please pray for her and all these children. Light Summer clothing is urgently needed. • While I was being shown around Kallakaporum gypsy camp-India. This old woman called me over and asked me if i would pray for her hands. As I watched her make beads to sell for less than 30cents each, Her hands moved slowly. They were swollen and painful. she said she used to make up to three bead necklaces per day, but now her hands won’t let her do that any more. She wept as I prayed for her and those same swollen hands were lifted up in thanks to God. This moment will stay with me for a long time. • Rajani [on the Left] means night and Dayita means beloved. Ranjani is full of life and both Ranjani and Dayita insisted they had their photographs taken. They are not sisters but are almost insuperable. Both are Orphaned and the Grandmother of Ranjani looks after both these children. Like almost all in Kallaporum gypsy camp, they have not gone to school, as the Grandmother cannot afford school fees, uniforms and text books. Dayita on the Right of this photo is deaf in the left ear, and has balance problems. Kallaporum camp has no clean water, No toilets and no electricity. / They live in home made shelters made from mud, sticks and plastic sheeting. They have no land of their own and the landowners will not allowed them to grow food on their land, even though most of the land surrounding this camp is vacant. These Gypsy children face terrible harassment and discrimination, just because they are at the bottom of the Hindu Caste system. treated as Outcasts and known as Untouchables. But God Loves them and he cares. To him they are very precious. Please Help me and the Philadelphia Mission Charity, to raise the money to drill a deed communal bore well. Also Children’s clothing, Schools fees, and other needed help. Many children die here because of lack of food and contaminated water. Anyone want to sponsor Rajani & Dayita? Let me know.
