This painting was inspired by the scripture: I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. John 15:1,2 Acrylic on canvas. Original is sold.
Landscape of the Lord St. Malo outside of Estes Park, Colorado. One of thee most photographed Churches in all of North America, I was VERY excited and VERY anxious to get this shot when I headed up to Rocky Mountain National Park. I was hoping that the weather would clear because behind this, covered in the clouds, is Mt. Meeker and it is just a stunning view with the mountains! I have to admit though, I am really happy how this came out. And if anything, it is quite unique compared to how it is usually shot. I suppose that is a good thing when it comes to photographing something that is such an icon. Generally, people walk down by the pond and shoot from there, I stayed up top on the side of the road, thus giving a different perspective than most. Also, the weather. It was dramatic as all heck! You could smell the rain as it came in, dark, but with so much drama in the sky. I was pretty lucky to get a shot like this. Ya, I am happy with it! Hebrews 2:1 We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. and Hebrews 3:12 & 13 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. /

Photo was featured on the RB home page on 6/12/08. “I will not wish thee riches, nor the glow of greatness, but that wherever thou go some weary heart shall gladden at thy smile, or shadowed life know sunshine for a while. And so thy path shall be a track of light, like angels’ footsteps passing through the night.” / Words on a Church Wall in Upwaltham, England (I got this quote from talented RB artist Marny Barnes.)

And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
Here is my utmost. This is were life ends and death begins. It’s were death ends and life begins. In one picture is pain, suffering, injustice, judgment, helplessness, betrayal and the deepest sorrow; and yet there is an equal amount of hope, tenderness, compassion, forgiveness and healing. Here is a painting which captures the sacrificial love of Christ on behalf of helpless humanity, born and unborn. Philippians 2:6 says, “Christ who, existing in the form of G-d, counted not the being on an equality with G-d a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men; and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross.”
The passionate love of Christ is shown for His beloved Church.
Sanctuary – Middle English, from Old French sainctuarie, from Late Latin s?nctu?rium, from Latin s?nctus, sacred, sanctify. Sacred place, especially the most sacred part of a sacred place. In ancient times and in the Middle Ages, a sanctuary served as asylum, a place of refuge for persons fleeing from violence or from the penalties of the law. To injure a person in sanctuary or to remove him from it forcibly was considered sacrilege. In Egypt the temples of Osiris and Amon offered the right of sanctuary. Under the Greeks all temples enjoyed this privilege, and certain ones, like the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, were known throughout the Mediterranean world as a haven for fugitives. In Rome fugitive slaves often sought sanctuary. Christian churches were given the right of sanctuary by Constantine I. Abuses of sanctuary, tending to encourage crime, led to its curtailment and abolition. Modern penal codes no longer recognize the right of sanctuary.
In Christ alone will I glory / Though I could pride myself / In battles won / For I’ve been blessed beyond measure / And by His strength alone, I overcome / Oh, I could stop and count successes / Like diamonds in my hands / But these trophies could not equal / To the grace, by which I stand In Christ alone / I place my trust / And find my glory / In the power of the cross / In every victory / Let it be said of me / My source of strength / My source of hope / Is Christ alone In Christ alone will I glory / For only by His grace / I am redeemed / And only His tender mercy / Could reach beyond my weakness / To my need / Now I seek no greater honor / Than just to know Him more / And to count my gains but losses / And to the glory of my Lord In Christ alone / I place my trust / And find my glory / In the power of the cross / In every victory / Let it be said of me / My source of strength / My source of hope / Is Christ alone Recorded By: Michael English ©2008 BMoore Photography & Design…...................................................... / www.bamagirl38.com ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
“Where There is Light, There Must Also Be Darkness”, “Every man has a good and bad angel attending on him, all his life long.” – Robert Burton (“Anatomy of Melancholy”) “Man is his own star, and the soul that can, render an honest and a perfect man,Commands all light, all influence, all fate: nothing to him falls early or too late. Our acts are angels are, for good or ill: our fatal shadows that walk by us still.” – John Fletcher (“Upon An Honest Man’s Fortune”) “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” – Bible: 2 Corinthians (11:13-15)
When hard times hit, you have to pray for a breakthrough. This image is my prayer for a breakthrough and perhaps it will become your prayer, too. Thank you Ruthie for your encouragement. Though the fig tree may not blossom, / Nor fruit be on the vines; / Though the labor of the olive may fail, / And the fields yield no food; / Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, / And there be no herd in the stalls— / Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, / I will joy in the God of my salvation. / -Habakkuk 3:17-18 Digital Mixed Media

And Mary said: / “ My soul magnifies the Lord, / And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. / For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; / For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. / For He who is mighty has done great things for me, / And holy is His name. / And His mercy is on those who fear Him / From generation to generation. / He has shown strength with His arm; / He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. / He has put down the mighty from their thrones, / And exalted the lowly. / He has filled the hungry with good things, / And the rich He has sent away empty. / He has helped His servant Israel, / In remembrance of His mercy, / As He spoke to our fathers, / To Abraham and to his seed forever.” / ~Luke 1:46-55 Photomanipulation created in Photoshop CS2. “The LORD your God is with you, / he is mighty to save. / He will take great delight in you, / he will quiet you with his love, / he will rejoice over you with singing.” “The sorrows for the appointed feasts / I will remove from you; / they are a burden and a reproach to you. At that time I will deal / with all who oppressed you; / I will rescue the lame / and gather those who have been scattered. / I will give them praise and honor / in every land where they were put to shame. At that time I will gather you; / at that time I will bring you home. / I will give you honor and praise / among all the peoples of the earth / when I restore your fortunes / before your very eyes,” / says the LORD. / ~Zephaniah 3:17-20 Stock Credits: / Texture by http://inthename-stock.deviantart.com/ / Horse by http://absurdus.deviantart.com/ / Woman by http://mizzd-stock.deviantart.com/ / Background by http://anarasha-stock.deviantart.com/
Often I veer off the path laid before me and take my own direction…I’m human, that’s just what we do….but it is comforting to know that God is with us always, never leaving nor forsaking us…quietly speaking to our hearts and guiding us back to Him as we go through this journey. Acrylic mixed media on canvas.
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. ~Hebrews 11:1 Photomanipulation created in Photoshop CS2 Stock credits: / Background: http://night-fate-stock.deviantart.com/
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” ~Ephesians 6:12 A prayer warrior does not need an arrow because the bow is lit with the fire of God’s Word and Spirit which penetrates the hearts of those who are prayed for so they may be refined, healed, and delivered! Abstract acrylic on canvas. Inspired by Hebrews 4:14-16 An invitation from God. We should never feel uncomfortable or find it difficult to approach God. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. /
Acrylic on canvas. For anyone who is struggling today as I am…God, help us to persevere. This is my prayer today. Hebrews 10:35-39 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while, “He who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him.” But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. Hebrews Chapter 10
Acrylic on canvas. Inspired by Ephesians 4 – Unity In The Body Of Christ Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
