9×12, graphite/white charcoal. Another portrait of one the hard-working girls who employed at the local Starbucks where I draw. Petite in stature but a giant in determination and discipline she has just left to go to school to become a Veternarian Technician but has dreams of one day being an animal foster parent. Raising baby exotic endangered wild animals even the creepy crawly kind until they grow large enough to be released into the wild. Setting her sights on Australia to live and work in or any continent for that fact if she had her choice. I hope she makes it. Christa is actually the first of 12-16 portraits. I’m giving one employee a month a free portrait. I decided to this since they surprised me by making me customer of the month for December 2007. I also do this because I grew up in what used to be a middle-class turned upscale well-to-do town which I have since returned to. Finding that all the employees are not from the town but commute from urban setting or other middle-class setting I know they deserve it a lot more.

“You can have that in three words, son,” said Reggie. “Understanding and compromise.”
For those about to be married, for others living in hope, for the experienced still capable of vivid past memories / I would suggest that reading the fine print is always advisable.

I actually designed this snowwoman for a class on storyboarding, and thought it would make a great t-shirt for the holidays!
Photo taken @ the San Diego Zoo in CA.
Meet Christa. She’s one of those friends that everyone should have – loyal, giving of herself, of her time. She’s always up for an adventure, and traipsed around at a great abandoned mill with me, being a great model (oh yeah, add that to her list of attributes – she’s beautiful, as you can see for yourself!). Thanks, Christa, for a fun adventure!
4×6 oil on canvas, if you want your own or a loved one’s eye done, contact me: / PaintingsByChrista@gmail.com
Original design was watercolor, 6×6 inches
Hand drawn with red pen =D
During the exploration of an old silk mill, we stumbled upon this awesome red chair with even more character due to a recent snowfall. It seemed to me to be so out of place against the brick backdrop of the building, and out of place in general! I LOVE IT! :)
I love the natural expression and pose in this shot of my beautiful friend, Christa. I’ve ordered this as a standout mount (similar to a canvas gallery wrap but not as ‘deep’) and can’t wait to get it!
all it needs are a few camels and a star,,lol
