My dog River posing for a portrait in the snow. She has ALWAYS liked her picture being taken since she barely opened her eyes at two weeks of age. Her litter mates ran around when the camera aimed at them but she stood in attention every time a photo opportunity showed up! :) I’m sure she’d be glad that I donate the proceed of the sale of her photos to Nature Canada as she loves woods and her deer friends as much as I do! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.

I was thinking of Julie Langford’s dear mother as I worked on this image, and I kept thinking how we all must undergo metamorphosis as we make the transition from this world where light is exterior to the next world where the interior light of our Maker can finally show through when we shed our caterpillar casing and spread our butterfly wings in the new life.

Lu 2:10: And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. / Lu 2:11: For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. / Lu 2:12: And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. / Lu 2:13: And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, / Lu 2:14: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. / _____ This work is a composite of separate works of art created using Apophysis fractal art program. Edited with Photoshop CS3 and Micrografx. I also uploaded a version of this art strictly for a card with the words “Wise men seek Him” and “Have a blessed Christmas” on it. I did this so that anyone like myself who would prefer the written word on it has that choice. You can find it here Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain. As those who know my work are all aware: I don’t usually “play with” Photoshop effects (of course except frames as I love framing). This time I can’t resist the concept so I used “vivid light” as an effect and add an extra gradient layer on top of the photo. I can only hope it worked.

Back in the deep summer, when all were in blossom and the leaves were rich in color and taste, the doe had plenty of time to experience the “other things” in life than just search for food. One day she decided to figure out what creature it was that I carried around with me and pushed at the top of the “head” from time to time to make a sound. She came so close to the lens that I had to quickly change to a wide-angle one in order to take this photo. Right after that instant, she took another step further to “pat” my “pet” with her tongue! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park

The young buck stepped in front of his sister to steal the picture. He really likes the camera, a LOT! :)

I took this close-up of Jesus on the cross which was in a very old cemetery and then when I saw these words on a church marquee, “Jesus built a bridge with two boards and three nails,” I added them to the photo. Something to really meditate about!

In full view The Father saw His Son step off His throne that day, and walk out of Heaven…It was time…He knew what His Son must do…He knew the end from the beginning…He knew His Son was about to suffer like no man had suffered…Die like no man had died…He knew His Son would live again and forevermore, BUT that didn’t ease the anguish He felt that day His Son would walk into the atmosphere of raging wolves, an undeserving world of violence that would eventually kill the only living entity in there midst…Did He love the world more than His Own Son…to sacrifice His Own Son’s blood to bring an unbelieving humanity into believing His Father is the only one true God, and if one sees The Son, The Father is seen??? Nooo…BUT, He loved humanity as much as equally…Did it ease His anguish??? Nooo…The Father saw them beat His Son those 40 lashes as He felt every one of them…He saw them pierce His side, rip His robe from Him and plunge a crown of thorns into His skull as He felt it all too…He saw His Son carry His own means of execution as He felt the weight of it…The nails were hammered into His hands and feet and with each strike He felt them go into His body…He heard everything also…The mocking of an angry mob…He heard the words roll off their lips screaming,“Crucify Him, Crucify Him”, and He heard the silence of His Son until His Son said, “Father, Forgive them, for they know not what they do.” and “Father, into thy hands I commend My Spirit”…And then, His blood flowed…And when it touched the earth all the anguish the Father experienced was released and displayed …The sun rolled back as darkness took its place throughout the land and gave not its light again for three daytime hours…The huge veil, which once hung in the Holy of Holies of the temple, was rent in two from top to bottom…The earth quaked with violence, the rocks were split with the force of His Fathers grief…And then, the graves of the righteous were opened and out of them did walk those who believed in times past The Word of His coming while at that same moment His Son lived again…It is finished, or is it??? That part is finished…all that needed to be done is done…The anguish of the Father for His Son has been appeased…BUT-One last time His Son will step out of Heaven…And when He does, He will come for His faithful, and believing servants…He will take them out of a world that will be left to its own… A world of total unbelief and hatred for The Father and His Son…A world where love and righteousness has vanished while war, bloodshed, famine, and pestilence reaches heights unimaginable…And yet, the end is not in the sights of an unbelieving world, But—-it will most certainly be begged for…
