When Jesus died on the cross, it is said that the world went dark. Perhaps this is what it looked like. It’s not quite the right sort of cross of course, but does it matter?
The turmoil of the cross.
I took this close-up of Jesus on the cross which was in a very old cemetery and then when I saw these words on a church marquee, “Jesus built a bridge with two boards and three nails,” I added them to the photo. Something to really meditate about!
These photos are from a free photo site, I modified them using PSP
Are you religious? Gods light shines down on a church, a path leads the way to the door.
...because He lives. / / Have a blessed Christmas!
One of the largest crosses in the world with a little PS added.
Mystical Jesus. Risen from the tomb, ascended into Heaven and peering through the radiant Light to let us know He is always with us. Rendered in acrylic. / /
In full view The Father saw His Son step off His throne that day, and walk out of Heaven…It was time…He knew what His Son must do…He knew the end from the beginning…He knew His Son was about to suffer like no man had suffered…Die like no man had died…He knew His Son would live again and forevermore, BUT that didn’t ease the anguish He felt that day His Son would walk into the atmosphere of raging wolves, an undeserving world of violence that would eventually kill the only living entity in there midst…Did He love the world more than His Own Son…to sacrifice His Own Son’s blood to bring an unbelieving humanity into believing His Father is the only one true God, and if one sees The Son, The Father is seen??? Nooo…BUT, He loved humanity as much as equally…Did it ease His anguish??? Nooo…The Father saw them beat His Son those 40 lashes as He felt every one of them…He saw them pierce His side, rip His robe from Him and plunge a crown of thorns into His skull as He felt it all too…He saw His Son carry His own means of execution as He felt the weight of it…The nails were hammered into His hands and feet and with each strike He felt them go into His body…He heard everything also…The mocking of an angry mob…He heard the words roll off their lips screaming,“Crucify Him, Crucify Him”, and He heard the silence of His Son until His Son said, “Father, Forgive them, for they know not what they do.” and “Father, into thy hands I commend My Spirit”…And then, His blood flowed…And when it touched the earth all the anguish the Father experienced was released and displayed …The sun rolled back as darkness took its place throughout the land and gave not its light again for three daytime hours…The huge veil, which once hung in the Holy of Holies of the temple, was rent in two from top to bottom…The earth quaked with violence, the rocks were split with the force of His Fathers grief…And then, the graves of the righteous were opened and out of them did walk those who believed in times past The Word of His coming while at that same moment His Son lived again…It is finished, or is it??? That part is finished…all that needed to be done is done…The anguish of the Father for His Son has been appeased…BUT-One last time His Son will step out of Heaven…And when He does, He will come for His faithful, and believing servants…He will take them out of a world that will be left to its own… A world of total unbelief and hatred for The Father and His Son…A world where love and righteousness has vanished while war, bloodshed, famine, and pestilence reaches heights unimaginable…And yet, the end is not in the sights of an unbelieving world, But—-it will most certainly be begged for…

I was thinking of Julie Langford’s dear mother as I worked on this image, and I kept thinking how we all must undergo metamorphosis as we make the transition from this world where light is exterior to the next world where the interior light of our Maker can finally show through when we shed our caterpillar casing and spread our butterfly wings in the new life.
ARE YOU GOING TO BE A CITIZEN OF HEAVEN? GOD KNOWS. THE GOOD NEWS IS, FROM WHAT i UNDERSTAND, YOU DO NOT EVEN NEED A VISA OR A GREEN CARD TO GET IN.

When I first saw this stained glass window in a very old Catholic church in Houston, Texas, I was deeply touched by it. I had never seen Jesus depicted as a priest giving Holy Communion. I have a special devotion to the Eucharistic Christ (as explained in John 6) and to his body and blood which he offers us at daily Mass and through which he sustains us on our earthly journey, just as he offered manna to the Israelites and sustained them as they journeyed through the desert for 40 years in search of the Promised Land.
This piece I made after coming back from the Lakeland, Florida outpouring, this past June. I made the tree look like a hand reaching heavenward. Trees are a symbol for people. The tree in my art is in need of healing and restoration. Some of the small branches are brittle and sickly, there are no leaves, the fruit is diseased and unappealing to others, and lastly there are bugs on the trunk, indicating infestation. I think there are many people that can relate to this analogy. Trees are usually thirsty for water. This tree however is in need of healing and restoration that can only come from God Almighty. He sends His healing power through the Holy Spirit (represented by the dove, with golden flames of fire). Once the tree is restored, it will be able to drink from the Living Water of Christ. This powerful piece gives me hope, that all people have the opportunity to reach out to be restored back to health.

Virtual Oil Painting of a stock image I found on sxc.hu / I did this around Christmastime…
The Lord thirsts for our love, for our companionship, for our presence. May we give Him a drink of cold water on this Good Friday as we commemorate and appreciate the greatest act of love in the history of the world.
Jesus is the Way, Truth, and the Life.

I have posted the lyrics to this song before, however, I thought of the same song while creating this artwork of Mary holding Jesus as a baby. Photograph of a statue of Mary and Jesus as a baby; enchanced with several software programs. / As of December 15, 2009 ~ 172 views This image is available as a card with verse inside on Zazzle Mary Did You Know Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day walk on water? / Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters? / Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new? / This child that you’ve delivered, will soon deliver you. Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man? / Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand? / Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod? / And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God. / / December 6, 2009
