I love it when Udon lies down like this, he reminds me of a baby seal :D Just that maybe his eyes are not as big as those seals but he’s still cute nevertheless :D

Another portrait of Udon :D This one has him sitting up so now you can see his full face with his cute ears. He wears this sad and droopy expression all the while so please dont think that it’s because I ill treat him all the time! :D Enjoy! / / You can view and buy my other “My Little Teddybear” creations at my Zazzle Gallery:

Woof Woof!! Udon Says Thank You!
by smile4meMany thanks to the hosts of A Beautiful Blur for featuring Always By Your Side:...
Many thanks to the hosts of A Beautiful Blur for featuring Always By Your Side That’s Estella, Udon’s favourite gal in the house :D This is a shot of Udon half asleep. If you look closely, he has his paws over her, now you know how protective he can be of his gal! Udon’s growing fast, he’s now about 25 kg and he has only achieved half of his potential. He has some dental issues….his lower set of teeth is not fully developed and the vet said he’s a late developer. He also has another problem. He has only 1 testicle and nope, the other one has not popped out yet or maybe it will never pop out. He’s still my Baby even though he seems “incomplete” ;D Always By Your Side Here’s some other photos of Udon Do I look like a seal pup? Can you pack me along? Udon’s little washroom Thank you for the all the love and hugs you have showered on Udon, he loves you all!! ^ _ ^

This was taken when Udon was about 2 months old and he already knew he could only do his toilet business in a specific area in the house if he has to do it indoors. Good doggie!! :D /

After you pass the General Store, the bank and the Old Red House on the main street entering into Chloride, Arizona you may have developed an appetite and be looking for a place to grab some grub. If so, then you will just make a right turn on 2nd street where you will find Yesterdays Restaurant. Yesterdays has great food and will welcome you with warm country hospitality. There is plenty of seating and some wonderful murals on the walls providing a perfect old west atmosphere. Live entertainment can be found 5 nights a week, and the performers a top of the line. Park your car or hitch your horse out front. Just open the door and walk right in. Where is this? Chloride-Arizona is a very scarcely-populated town, but 20,000 tourists around the world come every year, stopping at the Visitor Center in the Mine Shaft Market, where shop owners sell jewelry and antiques. Chloride is the oldest mining town in Arizona. Silver built it. Lead and zinc sustained it. It has now become a tourist attraction to those seeking a taste of yesterday and looking to take home some treasure of their own. SOME EVENTS and INFORMATION: Old Miner’s Day / Old Miner’s Day commences the last Saturday in June and is the biggest event of the year for Chloride. Festivities commemorate mining days when Chloride was the silver mining capitol of Arizona. No one is sure of the exact number of years this occasion has taken place, but rumors say over 100 years. A large parade, mock gunfights, a huge number of vendors hawking their wares, pie baking contests, great food and nice trophies are the norm. Arts and Crafts Fair / The last Saturday in October is reserved for the annual Arts and Crafts Fair sponsored by the Chloride Historical Society. Chloride boasts a variety of artists, some famous and others not-so-famous, who sell their works of art along the streets of town. Tremendous bargains for fine artwork, jewelry and crafts are available for all. Chloride loves to welcome visitors. They have an official Arizona Tourist Information center at the Chamber of Commerce office. They’re proud to show visitors what they’ve got—ghost town buildings and modern shops, yard art and painted boulders, good food and cold beer, a 125-year-old cemetery probably unlike any you’ve ever seen, and a lot of friendly people (the live ones!). / Take a trip out and see. They’re just four miles off Highway 93 at mile marker 53. They’ll be glad to say “Howdy!” And they promise—it’s worth the detour. Chloride has a small RV park and overnight RV parking. This is Udon, my 7 month old male chow chow dog. This is his favourite spot for resting whenever he’s at my boyfriend’s place. He has been getting numerous ear parasites attacks lately so we brought him to the vet for 3 consecutive shots, the last one was this morning, just before I flew back to Singapore. I sure miss him, it’ll be another 5 days before I see him again. /

This’s a shot of Udon when he was 2 months old together with my boyfriend’s schauzer,PooPup. See how playful or aggressive he could be at such a tender age, pinning down a bigger dog! The whites of the photo is the flooring. I did not cut the outlines of the blanket though it may seem to appear to be that way :D

Udon’s asking if I could pack him along with all the other stuff in my suitcase :D

A flock of Black Cockatoos flew in to have breakfast in the front yard. I grabbed the camera, no time for a tripod, and shot away. Luckily they didn’t fly off I must have looked funny with just my pj shorts on.

I was painting half way when Udon came to look for me. He is always very respectful of my painting tools, making a point not to step on my palette or knock over the water container. So I invited to pose with my tools :D

Udon sleeping beside his favourite doll, Estella :D He really has strong affections for her…..maybe she reminds him of a cream colored female chow chow? :D

Once inside Yesterdays Restaurant you will notice the walls have several beautiful paintings which enhance the atmosphere of the old west. Art lovers will enjoy the wonderful paintings of Walter Olds. Painted originally for the Desert Inn Hotel in Las Vegas, these beautiful murals depicting a saloon in the old west now reside at Yesterdays Restaurant. This is only a small section from a much larger painting. The Desert Inn hotel, once owned by Howard Hughes, was considered a second home to many famous faces. In the 1960s, the hotel begin to undergo major renovations to compete with newer hotels such as the Sahara and Sands resorts. The hotel then closed for business in August of 2000. The owner of Yesterdays Restaurant wisely purchased these beautiful paiintings from the sale of items resulting from the closure of the Desert Inn hotel. Examining the paiinting closely, I noticed the spirit of the characters depicted so true to nature. The detail of the saloon girl with one arm around the cowboy and one hand in his pocket is a marvelous touch of genius. Mr.Peabody was my “bestest “friend and running buddy for almost 10 years. There was not one day his presence didn’t stir a complimentary remark in public.About once a week some one would say he seemed ’’human”... / Rescued near death from the side of the road with a “chewed myself to freedom” nylon rope almost as big as he was around his neck .Still leery HE selected one of the five folks attempting to pick him up from along the open highway .Crossing at least a mile of grassy fields it seems he managed to escape a nearby puppy mill… / Next day at the vet,Dr. said she’d only seen an animal in this extreme condition in her A&M text books and she surmised “they ” were attempting to breed him down. The doctor said he was really old OR really young and very little chance he would make it. A few sprigs of hair on his nose, bloated from dehydration and red with sun burn and possible mange ..she said if his condition didn’t kill him the treatment he needed alone would . / I was tapped out from my rescue escapades. I had also just begun care~taking my sister diagnosed with lung and brain cancer. I agreed to do the physical care for him for my friend, who couldn’t take anymore dogs in.She, would be responsible for finding him a home , as I made it absolutely clear under no circumstances would I keep him once well. / To be continued…

These are my two dogs, Poopup(Schauzer) and Udon(Chow Chow) approaching bedtime. Udon was still unable to climb onto the bed then because he was still very young and inexperienced. I guess he was ok with that because he was never the sticky sort. Poopup is always finding opportunities to sleep near me . According to books, they mentioned that schauzers are a stick y lot, they like to sleep near their owners….it’s like something that had been ingrained in them by their ancestors, they have to sleep beside their owners….one of the Schauzer’s 10 commandments? :D Udon has a more aloof and independent personality, he loves me but he doesn’t show his emotions that easily….but really, he’s a big marshmallow inside. Both of them are poles apart, right now to sleeping habits. Normally, Udon doesn’t sleep next to the bed, he likes it by the door. This shot was just his way of accomodating to my need to take this shot :D /

This is my 5 month old Chow Chow puppy, Udon :D You must be wondering what he was looking at…. He was looking at the other dog of ours being bathed. Udon always has that soulful eyes and look, I wonder what he’s thinking sometimes. Hard to guess his thoughts when he wears that look perpetually :D
