  Exciting news….Duh duh duh duh (that was my drum roll, lol)...It was just announced from the Melbourne & Victoria Group...

  Exciting news….Duh duh duh duh (that was my drum roll, lol)...It was just announced from the Melbourne & Victoria Group that my painting First Tree is one of the 40 RedBubble pieces selected for a special two week art exhibit on July 27th, on display in the foyer of the Rialto Towers in Melbourne! The Rialto Towers are one of Melbourne’s most prestigious and iconic skyrise buildings. My painting will be displayed along with the other fantastic works of art chosen by RedBubble in the main entrance with exposure to over 5,000 people a day! It is quite an honor to me and it will definitely be an adventure! There is a radio station in Halifax called Kool 96.5 that runs a daily contest called “Photograph of the Day”. Last night I entered my “I Love You” picture and told them I thought it would be a great Valentines Day image. I got an e-mail today congratulating me because I won!! YAYYYY!!! My first competition entry. / Fishing for fun or recreation category. / This photo has just been selected by the NZ Fisheries to be in the top 30, for an exhibition to be held at the NZ Academy of Fine Arts in Wellington in March 08.   well..I entered this contest at my photo club here in winnipeg..and they chose one of my photos to be shown at a gallery for the month of March . Pretty cool… / now I gotta print up the photo and put it on gatorboard… / but still cool… / gotta say I think think i’d have a photo chosen… / the photo is called “misty view” and I believe it is on here…for a little more info read below: / The gallery officially opens on the 7th of March, 2008 and we will be having a grand opening event from 6pm to 8pm that night. It’s strongly recommended that you attend if you are one of the featured artist’s and we also welcome everyone from the club as well as anyone from the public to come and view both the grand opening and the general gallery show which will then be open until March 28th, 2008. / -On March 29th, all the photos will then be available for pickup by the individual artists at Photo Central. Thanks again to all of those who entered.
