i usually hate all the gimmicky tshirts there are out there with pretty much no creativity… but this is from scrubs so i’ve deemed it ok. (and for all you losers out there who care about copyright: suck a d.)

mixed media – hexagon, six pointed star important as lovers is 6th card in tarot. note the male-ish figure between the two faces as a man is stuck at a crossroads as traditionally portrayed in tarot. he carries a burden and a gem on his back – any situation can hold this gemstone – not just the ones society deems fit. to understand death is to understand life – again, that’s why the merkabah vehicle (6-ponted star) is important here … the “resurrection before death” so to speak that so many religions and cultures of the world point towards as being so important to realise…. – so the lover can then be mature in outlook and his practice of sensuality and world bridging in this wee cosmos….

This is a red pen and ink drawing of “Adidda Primal” It was unknowingly inspired by a story that a friend pinkyjain told me about how adidda’s ar made with Kangaroo skins. I guess the story stuck because this came out the other night while scribbling. So it is what it is and I hope the story effects you as much as it did me. I have never afforded adiddas but now I never will!

This goes out to my mate, Auska, whom also goes my many other names, of which mad cunt is one. He is, in my mind the personification of the term my friends so often use in reference to him and conversation with him. Of course, the political correctness within us leads us to believe that the use of the word cunt is offensive. This is an ignorant perspective, for the context and use of the word (for it is only a word, which is comprised of four letters, its meaning is a choice) to Auska and co is different to anything sexist or negative. So this shirt represents a choice. Do you want to wear something in knowledge that people will judge you, this is politically incorrect, how dare you! Or, are you like Auska, a fucking mad cunt. And will wear it anyway, for your reasons, because you want to, this is your choice and freedom. Who is anyone to judge me? Now that’s Fresh

Isn’t it the truth! lol We become tattoo artist because we love art and even more the satisfaction that comes from helping someone make themselves more beautiful in the ways they see fit…but at the same time we’re given the hat of a psychologist involuntarily. You know how it goes, someone comes in and before you know it you’ve heard their life story from beginning to present and are even being asked advice, even if it’s the first time you’ve met them. So for all of us who wear two hats, here’s our shirt.

This is a geeky 80’s design created for the Earth Hour Challenge. / / If you understand it then it means you’re old enough to be a fair contributor to the world energy problem and an equal part of the solution. / / But what is the solution? / / Well it’s clear to me that not just one but a whole range of newer, greener, renewable energy sources will save the day and I believe that people like you and me should be given the option to choose between them on our power bill. Whether they be nuclear, solar, geo-thermal, nano tubes and so on. / / Freedom of choice is what we want. Which is in fact a lyric from that crazy 80’s pop rock band, Devo. / / The red things are the hats Devo alway wear which they call “Energy Domes”, claiming they can actually harvest energy from your own head. / / Now that’s a solution I’d really like to see. / / *This is my first attempt at using Adobe Illustrator so all comments and critiques are very welcome. / / / / /
