By special request for Ann Hird. As well as helping out in the RB mailroom, I also help out at my local bank when they are short staffed (as they are today). Ann is the Manager of B&E Wynyard and right from the beginning has been incredibly supportive of my photography, commissioning my works for all sorts of projects. Today she is ordering calendars, and I thought it would be nice to say thankyou for all her support by creating a custom made calendar for her with images of her choice.

Artist statement: My journey as an abstract artist began many years ago when I was looking for emotional healing. I had the need to reach inside myself and manipulate my unconscious feelings. Once I was able to achieve that, I created art which allowed me to dance with my psyche. / I now have found peace and freedom within. I love strong, bold and vibrant colors, the fall/autumn colors speak to me the most. / I am not afraid to make changes and to let the emotion come through. I am an expressionist not an illustrator. My paintings can be a confrontation and may make you look deep within. I hope my art pieces will bring the same joy to you. / Your job is to clear your conscious mind of thoughts and preconceptions in order to allow yourself to be influenced by what you see. Some favourite images of wonderful, Blessed moments amid God’s Creation, that I have had the pleasure of witnessing and capturing. / Oft times, these images are the result of just being out, driving or walking in God’s Creation, they have been called Magic Of The Moment by a good friend and Divine Appointments by some, I believe these terms describe the situations perfectly.
