This is a composite photo taken in Shalimar, FL near the edge of the bay. It was a glorious summer night. I applied the NIK skylight filter to deepen the reds in the picture. I also shot the sun on the same night to the west of the bank. A cool but glorious December night on Choctawhatchee Bay (Gulf Coast of Florida). Here is the golden minute of sunset just before it lays to rest. The scattering cloud coverage created a nice dynamic sky.

This is a composite picture. I had to shoot twice, once for the moon and once for the lights. The moon, on this day, was a lunar phenomenon. During June and when it is a full moon the moon is closest to the Earth’s horizon giving the appearance of a larger than normal moon. The moon was so big and so bright on this night that it painted a moon beam all the way across the bay. / /
