This deserted old homestead in the Chittering Valley was most certainly somebody’s pride and joy at one time! Chittering Valley is about 10 kms east of Bullsbrook which, in turn, would be about 80 kms north of Perth, Western Australia
-
She was watching me watching her! Scene in the Chittering Valley some 100 kms north of Perth in Western Australia

A scene in the Chittering Valley, north of Perth and I took it from the same spot as my Hay Barn photo. I can’t make up my mind whether this is suited to sepia or not. Peter

This bridge crosses the Brockman River which, at this point, is nothing more than a fast flowing stream. It is the crossover point between Chittering Valley Road and Golden Grove Citrus orchard. Immediately after taking this photo we went into the orchard and bought a dozen big beautiful, juicy, navel oranges and were given a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice as a thank you for our custom. Not a bad deal

Spring may be a long way off for us but this helps to serve as a reminder of what we have to look forward to.. For many miles the road through the valley is lined with yellow wattles and it is almost impossible NOT to stop and take photos

Chittering Valley, some 80 kms from Perth. This stand of Blackboys (Australian Grass Trees) was obviously left in place when the land was being cleared for farming many years ago.

Situated in the ranges some 90 kms north east of Perth, Western Australia is the Chittering Valley, where some of the state’s very best oranges are grown. We took a drive out there today (Monday 23 June) to see how they were coming on and discovered that they will be cropping the navels in about 4 weeks time. We’ll be there!! / This photo was taken in aperture preferred and processed in HDR

This is not HDR of course – it’s just a scene that caught my eye when we were out driving around the countryside earlier this week. The location is in the Chittering Valley, some 90+kms north of Perth, Western Australia. A good average rainfall so far this year has ensured that everywhere is nice and green – a far cry from the last time we saw this area back in January
-
This is as close as I was game to get, okay? I could see he wanted me to trust him but Betty was getting a bit agitated! Taken in the beautiful Chittering Valley about 85 kms north of Perth.
