Half in England, half in Wales, this is the view from Thomas Telford’s aqueduct over the River Ceiriog at Chirk. Built between 1796 and 1801, it’s 70 feet tall and has 10 spans. The railway viaduct, added in 1846, stands 30 feet above the canal. / A wonderous piece of enginering & a beautiful place to walk

Had another good day today. Took some infrared shots in Chester, one of which I have uploaded, will do the rest soon. Also shot some of the Chirk Aqueduct in the Ceiriog Valley, North Wales. I spent most of the morning there after sunrise, was very cold though, below freezing. Seeing as the sun was very low there was a lot of contrast in some of the landscapes so I took loads of exposures to do some HDR images. Updated** I have uploaded the best of the infrared shots, I am really happy with how they came out! They were taken on a Nikon Coolpix 950 camera with a Hoya R72 IR filter. regards / Rob
