So that we could visit each other, I’ve tried to climb high; / my heart follows along, like a wild goose, to exhaustion. I worry because of the thin dusk that comes up, / but the clear autumn prevails and you can feel it. It’s the hour to see village people returning; / they walk on the sand, rest at the ferry landing. At the edge of the sky, the trees look like grass; / Near the river bank is an islet shaped like the moon. Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / / ’’Asian Series’ card by Karin Taylor This is one of my favourite pieces in the oriental series. / Two little friends falling asleep in their little boats whilst fishing for their supper. / I really enjoyed mixing the colours for this painting, I used colour swatches from paint charts to decide on the colour scheme, and just went to work intuitively mixing til I got the right colours…they are grungier than my other pics and I love the effect…hope you like them too :D

The Gyoto Monks of Tibet are an often seen sight at many cultural events in the Byron Bay region. Seen here laughing, this particular monk escaped Tibet into India 50 years ago with His Holiness, The Dali Lama. His trademark expression and enjoying tea and biscuit, the joke is enjoyed by all at the table.

I have her on a black tshirt under the name ‘Little Kimino Blue’ but she isn’t actually wearing a kimono, although she wears an obi…...Asia Blue is wearing a mixed costume, half chinese half japanese…...so I will just call her ‘Asia Blue’ for ease ….as there has been quite a bit of confusion over this :) I wanted to have ‘Asia Blue’ on other coloured tshirts, as well as the black, so here she is, more coming soon !
