  • Hot Bed!
    by Heather Hartkamp

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This worker was taking a midday nap on the back of a truck loaded with chillies that were about to be dried. We were in the Thar Desert, Rajasthan when we came across about an acre of bright red chillies spread out on the sand in the sun to dry – a truly spectacular sight! / More travel shots like this in: / My Adventures

  • Pappardelle Alla Casa Mia
    by John Hooton

    US$3.42–US$91.20

These are rather like broad tagliatelle and I prepared the dish like this… / Roast about 10 cherry tomatoes cut in half, in olive oil with 5 garlic cloves and a sprinkle of dried chili for twenty minutes. Halfway through the roasting, add some small whole mushrooms. I used oyster, buna-shimeji and shiro-shimeji varieties. Meanwhile bring some water to the boil, add salt and the pappardelle. After 5 minutes, add a handful of baby spinach leaves and cook for a further 6 minutes. / Serve the pasta with the roasted, tomatoes, garlic and mushrooms. / Total preparation and cooking time 25 minutes. Bon appetitto! The lighting was overcast daylight (the best diffusser) through my kitchen window. N.B. This image is now for sale as laminated kitchen art! • Flavours
    by salsbells69

    US$3.79–US$101.08

Garlic and chilli prior to being mortar and pestled for bolognese sauce. They were crushed along with a dash of virgin olive oil, whole black and red peppercorns, rock salt and fresh basil picked from my garden. Eventually cooked and simmered slightly with a brown onion, a dash of red wine and kalamata olives thrown in the mix along with some chopped fresh tomatoes. I took this image because I loved the organic natural woody textures and tones that beset them in the kitchen light. :))

  • Ice Fog
    by Geoffrey

    US$3.99–US$106.40

The night of March 8 2008. I had gone to try to capture the Northern Lights. I had travelled about a half hour north of the city but the lights lacked luster. While traveling back home I came upon this fog bank. / I parked my car on the shoulder of the highway. Crossed the highway. / Waded in knee-to-waist-deep snow until I could get my d300 and tripod setup on the median. The black at the base of the picture is the asphalt from the two lanes of the highway heading north.
