  • Being an artist allows me to experiment in different styles. From abstract to impressionistic, from rennaissance to realistic, from naive to contemporary….. But it is impossible to completely hide my recognisable style when the artwork is finished. You will find it in the eyes of people & animals, and the bright colours I so love. I have found though that my style changes with each commissioned painting I do. I tend to stay with the style of the last painting I painted until I do another commissioned painting. In this calender I chose a variety of styles I’ve done so far. You decide which style is your favourite!

  • Oslo, summer 2008 Street photographers are a strange breed. They walk around, they saunter, they wonder, they search and stare and then maybe shoot. They see what most people don’t want to see. Then, when we look at the photos, we only know the story that a photographer would share with us. Most likely it’s not the whole story just because they can’t know people’s thoughts, feelings, they can only guess. We can guess. And tell our own story. Think what could happen, how it will affect those people, try to imagine.

  • Buster the blue dog and his friends all together again for 2010

  • Rock like bark is a material I use frequently to create abstracts from nature and to tell science fiction and fantasy stories. I have created Planets to tell a continuing Space Oddysey. Ged the main character is sent through the universe to explore several planets and encounter life threatening adversity to save the abducted Princess. Each planet is paired with descriptions of alien beings based on science fiction and fantasy literature. Reading the stories enhances the / total artistic presentation. I also pair nature’s abstracts with the timeless classics of children’s literature that can be viewed in my portfolio. The / Velveteen Rabbit, The Giving Tree, The Earthsea Trilogy, The Little Prince, and other / classics of children’s literature that also are / priceless literary achievements for adults from eminent writers like C.S. Lewis’ Chronicles of / Narnia and Tolkein’s, Lord of the Rings. / Like Oscar Wilde, George Macdonald who / influenced C.S. Lewis and Tolkein are less / known for their classic fantasy tales for / children. My favorites include The / Princess and The Goblin, The Light / Princess, The Golden Key, The Princess / and Curdie, The Wise Woman and many / others.
