Click on the images below for a more detailed close-up / / “Finches On Parade” is about the communal abstract chatter that one encounters when in amongst a crowd of like-minded personalities. / I have chosen not to emphasize the precise detail of each bird but rather their general shape as they caper around, to give the impression of constant movement. Now you can purchase this design on a variety of new products including tote bags, cards, ties and even postage stamps! Check it out here! ** / Molly the Lil Witch, Oscar and Ophelia by Paul Rees-Jones The night was stormy and rather bleak, / Molly was a little bored witchy freak. She mulled over spells and warmed up her cauldron, / To create some friends to end her boredom. She delicately sewed a doll from rags, / Smiling and singing, a rather cute hag. And when she was done she was bright as a star, / Because held in her hands was the rag boy, Oscar. But soon she thought about the little boys heart, / To be all alone when his life just starts. So she borrowed small string of yarn from his hair, / And fashioned Ophelia, a sister to share. A spell and a cloud of nasty green smoke, / And Molly had made two little doll folk.

A street photo taken at Changi Airport, Singapore. Using the natural light as backlighting, these people were quickly snapped in silhouetted as they were walking away. I’m surprised how similar these people are. They echoed each other in terms of being in a pair. Also, the pairs in the foreground are single dad with their only child. All this captured at the time 16:57.

I was struck by the proud, noble gaze of this young man and I was fortunate to capture it on film. The shot was not posed in any way, it is a spontaneous record of the moment.

I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons.

A personal piece done in Gouache and colored pencil. The kid is saying, “what the heck?” The squid is saying “hey, don’t ask me.” (I have no idea what I’m talking about and should stop typing.)

Please Visit: / http://www.philadelphia33.org/ 100% of all your money goes towards the care of extreme rural families in Rural Isolated Villages in Africa. As I spend much time living with the Kambari tride, I get to know first hand the challanges they face each day just to survive. I also have the privilege of capturing not only hunger, sickness and often death, but the more happy occassions. This is Grace, and when I first met Grace in April 2007, she was suffering from Chronic Malnutrition. This was taken in December 2007, and the differnce is wonderful. We as a Charity depend on People like yourself, who donate time in Prayer and Finance to help us provide help and support for Grace and many others like her. I thank you all so much for your help. Without those who give toards the Mission, we just could not do it. Please Visit: http://www.philadelphia33.org/
