I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons. Sold 2 laminated prints to RB Members.
Taken in natural light. Please check out Stran9e
A cheeky, young Cambodian boy looks down through a floor. The house was on stilts and I had to lie down on the ground and shoot upwards to get this picture.
This young Khmer boy is very keen to have his photo taken!
ahh to be a kid again!
expressions of glee / exploding from within / spilling into tinkling laughter / and joyous cries / connecting life with sparkling atmosphere / electrifying motions of time / such are the actions / of those innocent babes / with absence of malice / no thoughts of rage / our sweet / our innocent / can we keep them as babes? / ah.. no / but still… / we can learn from thier ways / with gestures of love / and motions of youth / relive the moments / and share the innocence / and wash ourselves with / remnants of times / the dance of youth / still bottled within / just wates for escape / again and again!
Even at two years old, Lucy knows how to go for the kill. Of course, it doesn’t look like her little brother minds too much either. In a few years, we’re going to have to start keeping an eye on these two. At least we know they love each other.

Time for another expression for my love of rain! The background is a 22in x 28in acrylic painting with slight alterations, mainly colour and blurring. The original contains 4 pink flowers, but they didn’t cut it so I photoshopped them out. The light effect is a result of the camera flash. The rain, child, and porch railing are photoshop.

That day from the moment he awoke beside me, I knew everything had changed. Something in the way his eyes looked through me said, “Things will never be the same.” There will be no more lazy days. I could see in the determination on his face; there would be no more picnics under the Cottonwood. No more secret meetings after the sun had set, when we watched the moonlight and the tree’s dancing shadows. He didn’t twirl me around as he ran past; he didn’t even brush my hand. Even so, I watched with pride as he stepped confidently into the sun. I silently waved goodbye. His mother put him on the school bus, and didn’t flinch until it pulled away. She approached me tearfully; she gave me that last hug that he had neglected. Then she set me high on the shelf, where I now watch over his days. Photo taken late afternoon as the sun was setting… hence the sunset shadows. Here’s my boy Kane doing what he loves most!! Skateboarding is almost an obsession for him. He skates at least 4 times a week either at the local school or at the local bowl with his Daddy (his Daddy is right back into Skateboarding after 15 years). At just 4 he can already push off and confidently ride a skateboard. And loves his Daddy to swing him from side to side standing on the deck inside the big skate bowls. / Quite Adorable. ◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘ Featured In Children Power of Raw Emotion Group / Featured in Colour Me A Rainbow Group / Featured in First Things Group / Featured in Outsiders Group / Featured in Family Unlimited Group FOURTH IN THE CHILDREN POWER OF RAW EMOTION CHALLENGE / .
Even dragons are not out of place in the imagination of children. The tail end of the dragon on the roof of the Providence Children’s Museum. Crossprocessing Velvia F slide film really oversaturated the red and increased the contrast. The Diana camera created a soft light leak on the top of the tail and some slight vignetting. No digital manipulation. This image is featured in the XPro – Cross Processed – Photography group. (c) Paul Lavallee 2007 /

all stock purchased and my own photos for blending similar to my “First Summer Love” pic – but different. ;-)
I have traveled far and beyond all you know. / I have felt that which could not be felt. / I have seen that which is most hidden. / I have touched that which is forbidden. Few have seen what I seen. / Fewer still ever know. I have seen holes in the fabric of the Universe. / I have felt time frozen and all identity lost. / I knew not who am I, where or what am I, and yet I was. / I was a thought, a light, a spark, a vision. I was the Thing inside my vision. I was the very word that tried to describe it. I was lost and I have found myself. Words cannot describe it. / So I cannot. But I WAS THERE! I can swear it. / And yes, I can go there again. / Anytime! Soon…
