  • I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons. Sold 2 laminated prints to RB Members.

  • When I look upon a star, Whilst I will never know what exactly this young ballerina was thinking I could tell by the way she stood so still and watched as the other ballerinas danced. I suppose in many ways it takes us back to childhood and our own memories of someone we wanted to emulate. What does her future hold…....... • I took this picture in the bus that was taking me from Jujuy ( north of Argentina ) to La Quiaca, at the border with Bolivia ! This child was sitting just next to me. / Loved the way his father was looking after him, although he fell asleep more than once leaving the little child curiously looking around when at some point he stared at me for so long that I had the time to get my camera and take this picture !

  • Model: Charlie / yep.. this is little Charlie! / QUORN / Theatrical and Staged Photography / Fantasy Fine Art Composites / Unconventional Artistry Canon EOS20D DSLR / Editing in CS3 www.daviezimages.com

  • On a geography assignment in an informal settlement, I stumbled upon these children. The photojournalist in me inspired me to take this shot. What I love most about this is their varied and contrasting expressions.

  • I have been scanning lots of negatives lately and came across these that I took last autumn. I didn’t initially print them because my beloved Leica R3 had a light leak – some negs were beyond saving but I have managed to get quite a few where I feel the light leakage has actually been beneficial to the outcome. I may be posting more from this series or might just put them on my website .. they work better as a body of work than singular. You get more of an insight into childhood and how a walk in a frost laden woodland opens up a new world to them.

  • Another image taken from a woodland walk last autumn. Part of a series which I hope to put up on my website very soon.

  • I remember one of the loneliest times for me at school was when it was playtime. Looking around to see who and if you could play with someone. I think though it made me learn to like my own company .. I am still very much happy to be in my own world.

  • Another one for my series on school. And more work drawn from my relationship with school.
