I took this picture in the bus that was taking me from Jujuy ( north of Argentina ) to La Quiaca, at the border with Bolivia ! This child was sitting just next to me. / Loved the way his father was looking after him, although he fell asleep more than once leaving the little child curiously looking around when at some point he stared at me for so long that I had the time to get my camera and take this picture !
What fun this was to make. / The layers I used to create this included: / CG textures and Plaster Old CG Textures. The Plaster Old CG Texture was used as the primary jpg. I built Sister Solstice on top of it. I used CG Textures (snow and ice texture) in selective parts of the work. “There are two things parents should give their children: roots and wings. Roots to give them bearing and a sense of belonging, but also wings to help free them from constraints and prejudices and give them other ways to travel, or rather, to fly.” / - Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe Canon 50d. / 17-85 IS USM
Here I have captured my hubby watching the children while they play in the water during a sunset.
Even dragons are not out of place in the imagination of children. The tail end of the dragon on the roof of the Providence Children’s Museum. Crossprocessing Velvia F slide film really oversaturated the red and increased the contrast. The Diana camera created a soft light leak on the top of the tail and some slight vignetting. No digital manipulation. This image is featured in the XPro – Cross Processed – Photography group. (c) Paul Lavallee 2007 /

CENTRAL PARK Photo best viewed large. Central Park on a very foggy morning, March 17, 2009. Ashland, Kentucky, located in the NE part of the bluegrass state, boasts a 47-acre (190,000 m2) wooded park. Central Park was founded in 1854, with playgrounds and other amusements. In the spring of 1995, the pond was excavated, and later filled with water by September. / / The original water lilies that were planned in 1937 had come back in full bloom. Several fountains were added in the center of the park, and numerous fish species were added. / / The park today features an ice skating area, three separate children playgrounds, several baseball diamonds, a volleyball court and a traditional bandstand. Central Park also hosts an annual, holiday light show, the Winter Wonderland of Lights. The park is filled with lush greenery, flowers, and towering trees.
Here’s a photo of my younger son and his best friend playing at the beach during a sunset a few weeks ago. I just like this simple capture.
