Praise is just 6 years old, and in much pain. she has a disease called Rickets. her pelvis, thighs, lover legs and left food are all twisted and bowed outward. The tears are genuine, and I also wept as I saw her again for the first tine in 11 months. When I saw her first in April 2007, She was walking like a duck and found it hard to walk. then in December 2007, again I met her. this time the upper thighs had bowed even more. Now when I met her a few weeks ago in September 2008, I was heartbroken as was our Mission nurse and Field workers. / We noticed her coming towards us from a long distance, and as she came nearer we could see she was trying to speed up, and as calling my name “Papa Trevor”. When I saw her tears, I stood silently with tears flowing down my cheeks. Praise was in much pain. She tried to walk as fast as she could when others told her that papa Trevor was in the village. / I knew we could only pray for her, as we had no medicines for pain. Here in London Praise would have free medical treatment and be well cared for. Please Please pray for Praise, that God will heal her, or send us the money so we can buy the correct medicines to help her. PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS I am a British Missionary, Disabled by Rickets, and dying from Chronic Malnutrition and its effects upon her little body. I and the Philadelphia Mission Charity are in despair at the moment because we cannot raise enough money to provide the tools needed to help Ungwa/Fada Village grow enough good quality food so children like our little Angel here can eat well and enjoy a healthy life. But we thrive on challenges. In 15 years of missionary work, without any Sponsors, I and the small team have made a great difference. Compassion is a very powerful Emotion. yet for me and the small unpaid team at Philadelphia Mission, a UK Charity, Compassion is much more. To each of us, it is the reason why we do what we do. Compassion and a great Love for these extreme poor and sick it is the driving force behind our work. My inspiration and Love comes from a divine experience I had in 1994 while working in a village where only children survived. Their Whole families were wiped out by AIDS. I actually experienced the same Compassion and love of God for these poor. It was for a few minutes, and it has been with me ever since. We urgently need Money for Multi-Vitamins , in Tablet, sweet and liquid form. This will benefit immediately these children, pregnant mothers and breast feeding mothers. PLEASE READ THIS. This is an AIDS orphan. She lives in the village. When I first saw her She was sitting alone with the Chickens and picking things up from the ground and eating them. I asked the elders who’s child she was and why she was left alone like this. They informed me she as an AIDS orphan and many in the village will not help her because they believe they will be cursed and get AIDS. Here she sneaks into an area where pots where left to wash. I watched with a broken heart to see her tray and get something from the empty pot. This child is now in our care. But there are more like her we just cannot help, because we do not have the money to provide for her. Although we have made great progress in convincing the many villagers in Africa that AIDS is not a Curse someone put on them, and If they help others with AIDS the will not become sick with AIDS. Yet there are AIDS orphans who are abandoned and left alone to face life. Many die alone and in Absolute Agony. Please help us to help them. The reason I live and my passion is to bring Love and help to these precious children in remote and ruarl villages in Africa/India. This is Sister Saidi, Founder of Salama Health ministries in Nigeria. She is a long time friend and our Charity has been in partnership with them since 2006. We have an office at their mission centre. There are three children from Ungwa/fada village in Rural Nigeria, with rickets. In this small village there are 15 children with bowed and twisted limbs. They walk in extreme pain and one little girl is now almost crippled. Rickets is mainly caused by lack of Vitamin [D]. because of little and poor quality food, Malnutrition is also rampant here, Their immune systems are very low. This is why we are working in this village. Multi Vitamins are urgently needed here. We do supply some, but do not have the money to supply to the whole village. I am returning on 15th Nov-16 Th Dec to this and many other villages. Please pray for me and the mission. I took this yesterday morning as I was walking and praying in Wanstead Park, London. These are Two black [ Cormorants] and they come here every year. it was a cold morning and they stretch forth their wings to absorb the early morning sunshine. I sometimes wish I was a Heron and then I could fly away any time I like and visit the villages of Africa. “Freedom, a priceless gift”. A spider we came across out at the farm . We were walking along taking pictures of the barns when Shan stopped all of the sudden and told me he had started to step down with his foot and felt something jump back against the bottom of his shoe….. when he looked down he seen this spider ! He yelled for me to come over and look at it …it was a pretty big one and its back side looked like it had little grass burrs all over it , so I snap off a couple of pictures and then we were off again ! It was not until I up loaded the images onto my computer that I seen that it was not what looked like grass burrs , but it was a whole bunch of babies riding on mama’s back!!! yukkkkkk !!! lol lol / Now talk about giving me the hibby jibbys !!
