Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / Beach Series’ card by Karin Taylor Hula Hips is a mixed media production on paper impressed with a canvas texture. I use a combination of ink, pastel, charcoal and acrylic paint. I like to use pastel over the top of acrylic, allowing the acrylic to show through a bit. Hula Hips is a really out there kinda girl, loves life and lives it to the full! A nice happy birthday card this would make :D

Sales of this TShirt ? – 1 sale so far :) / / Shoes available at zazzle Here’s something a little bit different, ‘Kameko’! There is a tshirt and a card in this design… / Kameko is from the ‘Asia Series’ by Karin Taylor / / This piece took a lot of time and patience, I hand painted lots of paper in different colours and cut into tiny pieces to create my mosaics. Then I drew my design and layed the tiny pieces down and glue them all on. Painstaking! I then worked on the image in Photoshop to give it a softer look, I used the filter called ‘Ink Outlines’ and another filter called ‘Watercolour’. In Japanese Kameko means ‘tortoise-child’ symbol for long life. I thought it appropriate, given the tiles which resemble tortoise shell

These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …

Pure Watercolour / Arches 140lb / W/N Paints / 14×10in I recently renamed this painting Innocence… I captured this photo of my grandson Isi, picking buttercups in the garden, He stood studying it for ages, he was in his own little world… Children have such Innocent minds..It made me stop and think about what might lie ahead of him in his life to come, and that also worried me too. How wonderful this age is to be so innocent of worry and all that is happening in the world around us.
