This piece came to me after a pretty good day. I wanted to put down how I felt in my head; dreamy, light hearted, postitive and colourful! I really love the colours in this picture and the floating bubbles really capture a great moment. I wish my whol elife was like this.
I also dabble in (sometimes silly) watercolors.
Inspired by Mark 10:13-16 and Nichole Nordeman’s song “Help Me Believe”
A little boy playing the piano with his stuffed lamb as his trusted companion reminded me of the well-known song, “Jesus loves the little children” who are His beloved lambs of which He spoke so tenderly.
I thought this looked a lot like a child’s naive drawing of a cottage. / It had such a nice feel – and a great old frig – if you look closely in through the right hand window!
I think Natasha is fed up with the rain as much as the rest of us, so she’s painted us a rainbow to cheer us all up.

They Neither Toil Nor Spin Once in an early morning time when the children were / sleeping and I was enjoying the tranquil beginnings of a new day, I noticed a little squirrel just outside my bedroom window. He was scratching around in search of his breakfast when all of a sudden he caught sight of a luscious find—a plump mushroom that had sprung up almost magically during the rainy hours before dawn. The squirrel nibbled all around the tender cap of the mushroom leaving behind only a naked stem. Not long after, another squirrel appeared. Evidently he wasn’t too persnickety because he chomped eagerly into the leftover stem with great relish, sending bits and pieces flying across the lawn for the next hungry creature that came by. It was an amusing little scenario, but it was also inspiring and instructive. I thought about how those two little squirrels had fallen asleep the night before when there was no mushroom in sight. Most likely they had drifted off peacefully, instinctively relying on the One who always provides. In the morning, they had gone out in search of that provision, had found it and accepted it, not only without complaint, but with exuberance and enthusiasm. Like the lilies of the field, I realized, the squirrels neither toil nor spin, not in the sense that they don’t work, for they do. But, rather in the sense that they do not expend valuable energy and time in needless worry, fretfulness, or grumbling. The next time a need arises in my life and there are / no answers in sight, I hope I’ll think of the lilies of / the field and the squirrels in my yard. I hope that / I too will neither toil nor spin.

How every child pictures their mothers garden, no matter how old you are
The sweet cosmos in this photograph are from a neighbour’s garden. Three flowers display varying angles, each conveying subtle emotion. There’s even a tiny bud there, highlighting the life cycle of the plant. A spare setting lets the pink, yellow and green dominate. Rustic, romantic, childlike and complex all at once… Photo taken in Delta, British Columbia (Canada) with a Canon PowerShot A1000 IS camera. “Cosmos in the Shade” is the first of my photos to be favourited here on RedBubble. I’m very happy about that! ABOVE: Shown as a Mounted Print with No Border (Small size). BELOW: Shown as a Greeting Card. Follow me on Twitter! / Find my Blog!
This is a shot I got of my sweet little buddy-Buster. he is a Brindle Dachshund-6 years old. he rides with me all the time in the car. Here he is in his harness, excited and waiting for me to give him the word“up-up” to board my van. He’s my little protector and really loves his mommy and daddy. We have had him since he was 6 weeks old. So, we are the only parents he knows and I know HE thinks he is our “Child”. He is protective of us and our home, BUT, sweet as a lamb with most people especially children. AS IS.
all stock purchased except for background by my good friend / dezzan.deviantart.com I love rhinos—they are so big and fierce, yet they have an innocent – childlike quality about them. I think they are adorable. I have been wanting to do a few more animal pieces—I pray you like it. Claudia
