‘Friends Series’ TShirt by Karin Taylor One Spring Day is a mixed media production (ink, pastel, charcoal, acrylic) on canvas textured paper. I have also used a variety of found objects, including lace and ribbons…and an especially beautiful gold paint for the wings which were underpainted first to created texture. On of my favourite paintings, my heart and soul went into this piece…two sweet little girls in darling dresses hanging out in the garden together….what could be nicer.

Created on brown kraft paper / lashings of gesso, pastels, ink, acrylic, charcoal and coloured pencil applied / and a little bit of photoshop for dessert :) the design, deliberately placed to one side, creates the additional benefit of a slim look

Really not sure why I get such a kick out of this expression. Thought it would make for a fun T, with crab enhancement. I’ve never been of the crabby persuasion, in fact if I sense a crabalabadingdong mood coming on (my pet name for such a state), I snap out of it ASAP! I think humor is the best medicine for curing a case of the crabbies. Some people thrive on being prickly. My own mother (love you mom, but you’d be the first to admit it!) seems to feel most comfortable in prickly pear mode. Therefore, with all the love in my heart and a big dose of humor, I dedicate this T to her… and all of you lovely people out there who were labeled long ago by choice or otherwise… “Does not play well with others.” / :)
