I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons. Sold 2 laminated prints to RB Members.
Taken in natural light. Please check out Stran9e
A cheeky, young Cambodian boy looks down through a floor. The house was on stilts and I had to lie down on the ground and shoot upwards to get this picture.
“Mais il est bien court le temps des cerises / Où l’on s’en va à deux cueillir en riant / Des pendants d’oreilles / Cerises d’amour aux robes pareilles / Tombant sous la feuille en gouttes de sang / Mais il est bien court le temps des cerises / Pendants de corail qu’on cueille en riant” Jean-Baptiste Clément

Even at two years old, Lucy knows how to go for the kill. Of course, it doesn’t look like her little brother minds too much either. In a few years, we’re going to have to start keeping an eye on these two. At least we know they love each other.

Time for another expression for my love of rain! The background is a 22in x 28in acrylic painting with slight alterations, mainly colour and blurring. The original contains 4 pink flowers, but they didn’t cut it so I photoshopped them out. The light effect is a result of the camera flash. The rain, child, and porch railing are photoshop.
I happened to be at the right spot ‘at the right time’ while at the Calistoga Ranch resort in Napa Valley. She was only there for a split-second and I GOT IT.

“Listen a hundred times; ponder a thousand times; speak once.” / - TURKISH PROVERB My son Kane had no idea I was photographing him at this time…He was just wondering sweetly along a path in a local parkland area when suddenly he stopped and leaned on the fence. I honestly could not believe what I was seeing through my viewfinder when he did it. Then when I saw the photograph it just blew me away. Kane is 3 years old in this photograph. This is my all time favourite photograph I’ve taken with my DSLR to date. Played with the colour version in photoshop and am very pleased with the outcome. (black and white ) This was taken with my 300mm Canon lense. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WINNER of the LIVE LOVE DREAM Feel the Emotion Challenge WINNER OF WEEKLY CHALLENGE WINNER OF THE children the power of raw emotion challenge ○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○ /

My good friend Caroline commented that she liked the “icy” tones in this one. Since I read those words I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. I’ve spent all day thinking that I agree with her…..this image looks cold…. So my thoughts went to one of my favourite novels of all time, “The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe”, and the youngest of the Pevensie Children, Lucy, The first to discover the secret winter-bound land of Narnia. So, in honour of nagging thoughts & curious little girls, I’m re-titling this image. today i was thinking about abuse - / people who’ve suffered it. childhoods ended by it. it has, i believe – at least, happened to all of us, to some extent. abuse of different natures, perhaps, but we have all experienced it in some form. this is for you. this is for us. i am just so tired of abuse… / jordan busson. 3 march 2009 – 19 september 2009. add elucidate on: /
