  • This photo was taken on a trip down to Inverloch beach (Victoria, Australia)... on that day the sea and air were so quiet we were like standing still in time… Thank you so much for the plethora of comments everyone, I am glad this has touched so many people :) All proceeds from this image are donated in memory of my little boy Noah to the / Fanconi Anemia Research Fund. / Fanconi Anaemia (FA) is a rare inherited (genetic) disease, leading to progressive bone marrow failure, chromosome fragility and high cancer susceptibility. • A child of the sea, without a soul and forever a child/fish. I am curious about the ocean, about the human connection with the sea through evolution. All these dreams, myths and faerytales hint at something much more deeper. / When I swim in the ocean there is a hypnotic silence that complements the raw, wild power of the wind and water. / Although my heart beats rapidly I feel the silence and it’s familiar calming. Despite a gentle yet insistent reminder from my lungs that I need to breathe air, I feel the pull of the ocean. *I’m experimenting with backgrounds, I’m starting to feel I should move forward with my pencil drawings, imbue some emotion with colour/fabric/textute etc. Any sugguestions would be welcome.

  • I was outside, far from my grand-dauther,looking at an exibition when I turned my head and saw Angelica trying to stay on the narrow side of the fontain. It was about 5.30 p.m and the sun was going through the water,it was magical.Taken at “Le jardin Botanique de Montréal” /

  • LET ME JUST SAY FIRST OFF THAT I AM VERY VERY PROUD OF THIS IMAGE! LOL / I WORK AS A PHOTOGRAPHER IN A HOTEL TAKING CANDID PICTURES OF THE GUESTS BEING ACTIVE. I TOOK THIS OF A LITTLE GIRL PLAYING IN THE POO. SHE HAD GONE UNDERTHE WATER AND I STOOD WITH MY CAMERA FOCUSED ON THE WATER ABOVE WHERE SHE WOULD EMERGE. I MANAGED TO CAPTUER HER HEAD THE SPLIT SECOND IT BURST FORTH FROM THE WATER. THIS IMAGE HAS NOT BEEN PHOTOSHOP-ED AND TEH ONLY THING DONE TO IT TO BRING FORTH THE DETAIL IN THE WATER AND THE EYES WAS TO ENHANCE THE SHARPNESS AND A TOUCH OF CONTRAST AND SATURATION THEN WITH A SLIGHT BLUE TINT TO BRING THE DETAIL OF THE WATER INTO SHARPER FOCUS, WHICH IN TURN GIVES THE ICE CHILLED LOOK. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL JUST TWEEKED TO ENHANCE THE DETAIL. / TAKEN WITH A NIKON D60 USING 55-200mm
