  If only I had listened to the “child within” years ago, I might not have grown so old before I realized I wanted to play in the marshes, ...

  If only I had listened to the “child within” years ago, I might not have grown so old before I realized I wanted to play in the marshes, sing with the birds, and dance with the Great Blue Heron on the shores of the little pond! However, it is never too late! You see, that is when I smile the most and from the deepest part of my spirit. Yes, the smiles abound, the joy felt is warming, and once again, I am nurtured by the little girl I once was. And while I am enjoying the days and evenings with the birds and wildlife, amid the waters and meadows, the camera is near to my side enabling the capture of the moments of that day. Settling in for the night, canines asleep near my side, I work as the inspirations of the day created within the natural elements tug at my energies. Today I am grateful I have rediscovered the little things in life that had vanished for all too many years.
