This is a mod I made of my daughter using Photoshop CS2 and Photo Booth. This is my spin on what our mothers used to tell us (don’t make faces or it might stay that way)...lol
An Irish castle and a child – what more do you need? (well, in fact you also need some birds, some textures and some photoshopping…)

Time for another expression for my love of rain! The background is a 22in x 28in acrylic painting with slight alterations, mainly colour and blurring. The original contains 4 pink flowers, but they didn’t cut it so I photoshopped them out. The light effect is a result of the camera flash. The rain, child, and porch railing are photoshop.

this is my adorable son and our dog – the two of them have such a lovely bond it is really sweet to see and i think this captured it really well, but i can see why they say working with animals and children is not always the easiest thing to do… taken with a nikon D80 + 50 mm 1.4 nikkor lens on a tripod with a flash and soft box (over the flash) ISO: 100 / f/stop: f/1.4 / shutter speed: 1/250
/ / nurture / The act of nourishing or nursing; tender care; education; training; That which nourishes; food; diet; The environmental influences that contribute to the development of an individual; see also nature; to nourish or nurse / en.wiktionary.org/wiki/nurture Media – pencil and photoshop / Substrate – paper I can’t explain this, ‘cept to say, it’s inspired by our connection with nature and the fragility of life itself sometimes, the message coming through is to nurture life by way of fostering goodwill toward one another and accepting we have a duty of care to our natural world also. Because Easter is approaching I thought it appropriate :) The child’s sustenance, or umbilical cord if you like is coming from a tree, symbolic of the healing that nature can bring….the new life and growth that comes with nurture both of spirit and of nature. Humility is understanding our rightful place in the scheme of all things, including nature, family structure and the wider community…... a world where there is tolerance for all, is the one i pray for

Just playing around in PSP with a photo of my daughter Kassidy in a pensive mood, I couldn’t help but think how she looked old beyond her years, and she made me think of the Child Empress in The Neverending Story I and how she had the weight of the world on her shoulders. A little tweaking and playing with several different photos and this is the result! :) All resources used my own, taken on my Canon Powershot A480 point and shoot. A little help from the generous Trisste for a slight emphasis on the lashes. 500+ Viewings group: 516 views at the time of submission. Digital fine art photo painting of a little country girl admiring the beauty of a single bloom in a wildflower field. Featured in Digital Brushstrokes, October 9, 2009. This digital art consists of 4 layered images from my personal library, including one texture layer.
