I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons. Sold 2 laminated prints to RB Members.
This is the same photo art as “I’m 1” only I included the Happy Birthday title as an option.

Drawing and digital manipulation. / ‘Polly put the kettle on’ was published in 1797. The origin was the author was watching his children (3girls and 2 boys) play. He observed that when the girls wanted to play without the boys they would pretend to start a game of ‘tea party’.”Polly put the kettle on” and the daughter called Polly would put the toy kettle on! As soon as the brothers left Sukey(Susan) would take it off again! Their father was so amused that he set the words to music and published it as a nursery rhyme! I Think our modern version is Polly get the Tupperware! He he!
A piece I did for Easter. The Alice and Wonderland colors of the girl are coincidental, but if thats what you want it to be, then fine.
*My work was featured in the group Video Montage / ( Thanks Muscular Teeth and Butchart ) Excerpt from “Abigail’s Friends” written by Anthony Hedger illustrated by Carrie Glenn. ...“I think we better go back now.” She whispered to the butterfly. / “Why?” The butterfly asked. “It’s only my friends and they are having a special tea party just for you, come on and I’ll introduce you to them.” / “Er, ok, if you think I’ll be alright?” / “Of course you’ll be alright.” The red fox called to her. “Come on your tea is getting cold.” / So for the next two hours Abigail sat with Mr. Fox, Mr. Bear, Miss Rabbit, Ms. Blue bird and a hundred different butterflies and had tea and cake and chatted as though she had known them all her life. She gave each of them a big, big hug after and thanked them for making this the best birthday ever. / “Er, just before I do go home, how did you know it was my birthday anyway?” / “You could say a little bird told us.” The bear said gently and they all began to laugh…read more / CarrieGlennStudios.Com / My Zazzle Gallery

Just had a wash and some black kohl and all ready to go, this was in a little Bishnoi village.rajahstan, india
This drawing I made for a short story in a children’s magazine (though it won’t get published). It’s about a girl who is having her birthday party, but because her mother is ill, she couldn’t invite any of her friends. So instead, she’s having the party with all her plush animals. =) I tried to go for a different technique with this one, namely digital colouring, something I hadn’t properly done in ages (normally I just do some touch-ups). I scanned in my pencil drawing and then coloured it in Photoshop. I do believe I need some more practice with this, but it didn’t end up looking too bad, I hope. =P
/ I used candlewax, few different sized black marker pens, retractable pencils, charcoal white and black, ink and pastels on a small piece of timber to create “Happiness Always”......and that’s what I wish for everyone…. happiness always it could be for a newborn baby, just cheer someone who’s a little sad, or for a birthday ~ wishing someone happiness always is just a nice thing to do any time of the year :)
/ Gossamer Fairy Gossamer Fairy’s dress is made of flower petals and spun spider silk. / Just imagine having a dress like this to wear out…... This is a pencil drawing, which I’ve coloured in digitally… /
Artists Note: This is a childhood fantasy, a tea party with plenty of animal friends to indulge in treats and play with you. This portrayal would be such a lovely dream for me :-) Stock: Deer Girl Bear Fox Tea Cup
/ Could be a canary, chick or an owl…whatever it is, it’s kinda cute and nice for birthdays… sending your loved ones rainbows full of happiness is a nice way of saying i love you ... also sweet for a children’s bedroom or nursery and birthday parties, christenings, or welcoming new babies
