If you have seen the film ‘Blood Diamond’ then you will have a good understanding of what it’s like in D.R. Congo. Cusco, Peru’ ! / While walking in Cusco a few days ago I met this little girl, Flor, and her sister Yolanda ! I had already taken a picture of them last year ” Flor y Yolanda ” and when I showed them a copy of the photo.. they were so impressed that they asked me to take more pictures. This is just one of the many I took ! She is so confident and loves to be photographed !!! I love this picture for the way she poses here, the way she smiles, her spontaneity.. and the beautiful contrast of colors !!!

Cusco, Perú !!! / This is one of the first shot I took in Cusco this year !!! / I had just arrived and I was feeling a bit strange and not really in the mood to take pictures of people.. I was maybe thinking about life a bit too much ! / But when she passed by I said something funny to her and pressed the bottom !! / I´m glad i did !

Meet Angelica, my grandaughter and I’m passionnate about my Angel.This pic was taken three years ago when we used to do gardenning together,so many days we spend together then.She’s seven now and we don’t have time together like we used to .I have great expectations for that little girl.She told me a few weeks ago that when she grow up I’ll just have to write books and she will put the images in them.She is very good with drawing and i’m thinking about showing the first steps in photography .She had a camera for Christmas ,i can’t wait to go photo shooting with her.I think about her everyday ,wondering if everything is okay for her ,when I’m with her the time stops and I become a better person ,that’s real love …I took that pic when she was watering the flowers,she was so concentrated,I spend days with her in my garden ,moments I will never forget.I’m still wearing that old green hat 5 years later and Angelica has her own now…. :)) So old but so comfy / I did the Orton effects on that pic,I wanted this timeless feeling of an old photography.

Pisaq, Cusco – Perú - / I met those two little girls from a little village near the ruins of Pisaq, close to Cusco. / At the beginning they were a bit shy and they didn’t seem very keen to be photographed. / But I gained their trust after chatting a little bit.. and I managed to take a few pictures of them.

This was pure fun, there was this whole group of women and one “beautifull’ man, i really wanted to take his shot and they where asking me ‘why you want photo from that man”, well i said because he is ‘beautifull’ they thought that was sooo funny..they wanted on the photo ,forget about him, take us! so i did offcourse and that attracted more people…finally i made a shot of the ‘beautifull’ man too.. but that was at least an hour later!! Was bored this morning but haven’t got time to get the camera out, so decided to have a go at some Hi-key work on an old portrait of Milo. Luckily I had kept the original RAW file. I’ve not really tried a high-key colour portrait before, so its a bit hit and miss… Nikon D300, 17-55 2.8 lens, natural light. Processed in Adobe CS3
