Airbrushed and mixed media My Work Was Featured In Fantasy Art / (Thanks Everyone) Read the Collaboration of Written Work by Tony Hedger Part 2 of 2 / The way to get there is many in choice, / But a good first step is the inner voice. / By air, or water, by earth or fire, / Fairyland is your hearts desire. There you are free, all you can be, / And everything is real. / You could sit for a while, / Upon a sundial, / And chase the rays of the light, / You could float on the air, / Without any care, / Or fly with butterfly wings. / Buzz with the bees, and fly through the trees, / Float down with the falling leaves. You could go on a boat, / Through sparkling waters, / Made out of the shell of a tortoise. / Sit in the ring where the fairies all sing, / Drink, dance, fairy fling. / Diddle on the fiddle, play fairy in the middle, / Sparkle, shine, drink buttercup wine. / T’is close, you must believe, / Just follow the voice from within. *My work was featured in the group Video Montage / ( Thanks Muscular Teeth and Butchart ) Excerpt from “Abigail’s Friends” written by Anthony Hedger illustrated by Carrie Glenn. ...“I think we better go back now.” She whispered to the butterfly. / “Why?” The butterfly asked. “It’s only my friends and they are having a special tea party just for you, come on and I’ll introduce you to them.” / “Er, ok, if you think I’ll be alright?” / “Of course you’ll be alright.” The red fox called to her. “Come on your tea is getting cold.” / So for the next two hours Abigail sat with Mr. Fox, Mr. Bear, Miss Rabbit, Ms. Blue bird and a hundred different butterflies and had tea and cake and chatted as though she had known them all her life. She gave each of them a big, big hug after and thanked them for making this the best birthday ever. / “Er, just before I do go home, how did you know it was my birthday anyway?” / “You could say a little bird told us.” The bear said gently and they all began to laugh…read more / CarrieGlennStudios.Com / My Zazzle Gallery

My adorable little creature standing at the window, watching the rain and making a wish!

That day from the moment he awoke beside me, I knew everything had changed. Something in the way his eyes looked through me said, “Things will never be the same.” There will be no more lazy days. I could see in the determination on his face; there would be no more picnics under the Cottonwood. No more secret meetings after the sun had set, when we watched the moonlight and the tree’s dancing shadows. He didn’t twirl me around as he ran past; he didn’t even brush my hand. Even so, I watched with pride as he stepped confidently into the sun. I silently waved goodbye. His mother put him on the school bus, and didn’t flinch until it pulled away. She approached me tearfully; she gave me that last hug that he had neglected. Then she set me high on the shelf, where I now watch over his days. Digital fine art photo painting of a little country girl admiring the beauty of a single bloom in a wildflower field. Featured in Digital Brushstrokes, October 9, 2009. This digital art consists of 4 layered images from my personal library, including one texture layer. The little girl’s hair was created from scratch and then the entire piece was digitally painted in Corel Painter X using a Wacom tablet prior to adding additional texture & a subtle posterizing filter in Photoshop.
