A Pwo Karen man with his son coming back from hunting. They stand by the crossroads of main paths from their village to fields and the next village. Far from roads and the outside world, the hilltribe people in the mountains of Thailand and Burma had few choices in life.

This was taken at Papago Park about a year & a half ago. We went looking for ducks but they were all on the other side so they decided to skip rocks until the ducks came over. And they did! /

It is the Monument to Women Memorial Garden The garden consists of a central sculpture of a woman, and the garden is enhanced by 12 life-sized figures expressing the widely varied nature of women’s vital role in society. The display may well be the largest commissioned display of sculpture in the world dedicated to women / of the past, present, and future.
