I was at an old church to shoot a christening and decided to run up to the balcony for a better view and there was this little girl ! I stopped at the doorway and shot this with my 200 prime lens. It turned out to be my fav shot of the day. I later found her family after asking around and sent them a copy of the painitng in exchange for permssion to use the image as I please. / This was painted in Photoshop CS2
Drawn 2008. Age 21. “In the cold dampness I quietly rest against the crumbling wall with my eyes closed; hoping in vain to be forgotten and left alone”* This was just a quick sketch using black biro pen on standard plan paper. I am hoping to expand upon this idea in a more developed drawing sometime in the distant future…

Emotive piece of art drawn in Graphite Pencil…L K Southward- Iconic Art UK Nominated for ‘Pay it Forward’ by Andy Mueller IPA “I have so many favorite works of art on the bubble that it is tough to narrow it down to just one. But every time I see this one, I know it is the one piece that triggers the most emotion out of me. So, I’d love to submit my Pay It Forward to a wonderful British Artist L K Southward and her graphite pencil drawing called “This is your son”. Every time I see this drawing, I have tears welling up in my eyes. It is such a strong piece of work, and she clearly is a very talented artist.” Featured in the group THE EEG on 9th May 2009 Featured in the War – lest we forget group for the 141st Memorial Day (1868-2009) Featured in the Pencil Drawing group on 13th September 2009 Original drawing sold on 29th April 2009
2008. Age 21. “Glancing up at the stars I feel comforted by the enchanting tapestry; a beautiful contrast of sparkling silvers attached to a black sky. It is darkness tantalized with mystery, and shares the emptiness I feel in my heart.” Ready to Die… Thank you for looking.

I took this picture in the bus that was taking me from Jujuy ( north of Argentina ) to La Quiaca, at the border with Bolivia ! This child was sitting just next to me. / Loved the way his father was looking after him, although he fell asleep more than once leaving the little child curiously looking around when at some point he stared at me for so long that I had the time to get my camera and take this picture !
my lovely little nephew – not v. happy about our little photo shoot…
Image Copyright Banishing of the Pedestal / By the gorgeous LisaG I placed her upon a satin trimmed pedestal / her beauty and gentle spirit / required the utmost reverence / to which I honoured with love and pride / though she asked not to be so / nor in fact naught of me Until this recent difficult time / she looked at me with scared doe eyes / begging to be released / from the lofty unattainable tower / I had knowingly sentenced her to / her tired and veined hand reached out for mine Her angelic voice / fell silent / no longer was it her time to utter soothing words / to ease my own sense of burden / it had become my time / to gently rock her, calm I am truly now for her / as she has truly always wanted to be / grounded and level / a return to hand in hand as we once were / before I placed her on a pedestal / when I was little girl and she my joyful mother

Here is a re-worked image of my little girl and my husband which was on RB a while ago.. I keep coming back to it so finally decided to play with it and here it is… I originally had this image in colour but got some great advice from a fellow bubbler to try it in b&w so I did…... This image was taken when my little girl fell over on the rocks and hurt her knees and her daddy gave her a piggy back to the car before the storm came.
