I used my grand-daughter’s silouhette of her praying to create this image. She was about ten years old when I took this photo. She grown up now, but she has continued faithfull to pray and put her trust in God always. This brick path overshadowed by oaks leads to a statue of the Blessed Virgin holding the Child Jesus. It is one of many such tranquil spots where people who come for directed spiritual retreats in Grand Coteau, Louisiana, can sit, soak in the small town charm, and meditate on the ways of the Lord.

I love looking at the back of my babies heads. Some people think me strange for photographing them, but they’re all unique and I kind of wonder what’s going on in there. I find myself thinking more about the fact that this is a separate little person who will be making their own way in the world one day. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. She is disabled by Rickets, a disease that is caused by lack of Vitamin [D]. the village is in extreme poverty and cannot grow enough food, and what they do grow is not good quality. Mary’s upper and Lower limbs are bowed and twisted. She has lost most of her feelings in her hands. she has intestinial worms, and her natural imune system is almost down. She is in constant pain yet Mary can live a productive and happy life, with our help. If Mary was ypur Daughter, I am sure you would take her to the best Doctors, adn give her the best food, and care fore her. Yet Mary only has an old grandmother to care for her. Her grandmother is weak and also unable to do basic things. Please help us to Help mary and the many like her. You can be part of her life and those like her. This lovely stained glass window was taken inside a very old church in Houston. It depicts the Fifth Joyful Mystery of the Rosary, the Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple. After searching for three days for their lost son, Mary and Joseph found 12 year old Jesus in the Temple speaking with the elders, the learned men of the law who were astounded with his knowledge and wisdom.
