This was taken in a dark room, with just enough daylight to highlight the feet. I opened the curtains a little just to allow the natural daylight in. This brick path overshadowed by oaks leads to a statue of the Blessed Virgin holding the Child Jesus. It is one of many such tranquil spots where people who come for directed spiritual retreats in Grand Coteau, Louisiana, can sit, soak in the small town charm, and meditate on the ways of the Lord.

PLEASE READ THIS. I am an Irish born Missionary and photographer. My passion in life is to help as many children living in extreme poverty in remote and rural villages of Africa and India. My compassion and inspiration is from Gods great love for the suffering children. Taken in Tunga/Zuga village, Kebbe State, Remote Nigeria. As I was looking through some photographs stored on my Camera storage card, I came across Alfred, and It brought me back to the time I met thisboy. His Father and Mother were killed in a road accident, the precious day. His grandfather took Alfred to his little hut and there we found him. My passion and inspiration to help these precious people is from a heart of love and Gods commission to go and help those poor who suffer alone and in silence. This was their only child, and this is rare in African Culture. There are so many like Alfred, and I really mean many. The carers struggle to feed them, and the survival rate of Orphans are very low. There are no orphanages in Tunga/Zuga or indeed in The Kebbe state, except one small run down orphanage. I believe it is better to equip and help the existing carers to look after these children, where possible. But in saying that we do need to bud and run an orphanage where the carers are not capable of caring for them. Please Pray that God will bless us in helping many. We need your Prayers and finance to do this. Ask God how you can help, and you will not only be blessed, but be a blessing to Alfred and many like him. PLEASE READ THIS. Today I have been in communication with Tunga/Zuga Village, in remote Kebbe State, Nigeria! / In the past it was not possible to communicate directly with the Village Missionary. But thanks to The Calvary Church who donated a Communications system, our missionary Pastor Jonathan called me. / The First thing he shouted was Grace is now completely well!. / Grace was very ill and would have certainly died, if it was not for some of you here on Redbubble who donated money for Medicines and continued treatment. God Bless you for your genuine Love and your giving. Zewditu was adopted by an Australian couple but they are keen for her to know her Etheopian background and any relations so they return to Etheopia to do work at he House of Grace every year. / This was a pastel painting from llife. on burnt sienna colourfix paper. Given to Zewditu’s adopted family. / It was used on a DVD cover to raise money for The house of Grace.
