  • Chicago’s city streets fade into the Lake Michigan coastline and a dark dusk sky as night descends on the windy city.

  • The Chicago skyline taken from the top of the White Sox stadium. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- Please have a look at some of my other photos: / People/Portrait / Animals/Pets / Travel/Scenics / Flowers/Insects/Macros / BlackWhite / StillLife / Photoshop Image copyright © 2007, Jamie Lee. / Please note that copying, displaying or redistribution of this image without written permission from the artist is strictly prohibited.

  • I took this hdr shot to allow for a good even glow over the shot and still get the reflection of the street down below. / It also always reminds me of a drama, as after I went to bed after taking it, about 2 hours later my wife woke up in agony on the 38th floor in a Chicago apartment with a prolapsed disc and we had to ring 911! / Anyway, the 2 hours sleep was quite worth the effect..maybe! Taken with 2 exposures – 1st with F3.5 aperture/5 secs shutter/500 iso / 2nd with same aperture & iso with a 1 second shutter. Thanks in advance for any views or comments. / Cheers, / Matt Also from this series:

  • Chicago River at Michigan Avenue. Finally there at the right time and able to catch a shot of this. In the past, Ive always been in a car driving and never able to catch this.

  • A view of Chicago from the 23rd floor. Chicago – Illinois – USA Under City Lights My heart thrives under city lights, / My dreams are born on city nights, / I am a child of the golden street lamps, / I am a child of the city. When I see the midnight people, walking by, / Or the silver moon, ridiing high / I know I am where I long to be… / I know I belong in the city. Diamonds are glittering on my fingers, / When the sound of midnight softly lingers, / It seems like nothing ever sleeps! / When I am awake in the city. Author: Melissa Park -

  • www.danadipasquale.com / O ME! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; / Of the endless trains of the faithless—of cities fill’d with the foolish; / Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?) / Of eyes that vainly crave the light—of the objects mean—of the struggle ever renew’d; / Of the poor results of all—of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me; / Of the empty and useless years of the rest—with the rest me intertwined; / The question, O me! so sad, recurring—What good amid these, O me, O life? / / Answer. That you are here—that life exists, and identity; / That the powerful play goes on, and you will contribute a verse. - Walt Whitman

  • Last shot of the day in downtown Chicago. As I was returning home, waiting in the subway for my train, there was a man with the most soulful voice singing for tips. Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone originally by Bill Withers is how I wish I could title this image because that was the last song I heard him sing as my train pulled away. I also thought it was interesting that behind the woman sits a child’s shoe even though no one else was around.
