I had a great time making this piece.. the original shot of the guy I knew in India captures his essence.. his name was capt cook.. and he was a real con job.. I adored him but he died of an overdose of this horrible black tar heroin that runs ramped on streets now a days in the groups of holy men that are not really holy men but were just street guys that did alot of hash..they call themselves Bubbaji’s or Sadu. but they are not.. relatively harmless when just smoking hash.. they, like the rest of the societies of the world, become more predatory when they mess with this new drug offered them in the last 8 years. The bug has arrived and they are dropping like flys. Where there is heavy addiction there is more crime and murder. / Same drug different society. I was saddened by his death as he did have his moments of joy and kindness that made him real. My husband tried to get him to quite but I am afraid like so many on drugs.. it takes more than just one’s own will power sometimes.. / so here is to you Capt. Cook and you favorite song! / Music to Live By…this is my fav Indian Love AND INDIAN MOVIE..LAGAAN!! Song /
