A lovely mountain gorilla in Rwanda, it was such a wonderful experience to meet him. He is one of 380 left in Rwanda and his name is Ntakibazo. He is part of the Umubano Group, meaning “neighborliness”. Umubano has 9 individuals: 1 Silverback; 1 Sub adult male; 3 Adult females and 4 Babies. Led by Charles, the dominant silverback, Umubano was formerly a part of the Amahoro group. As Charles matured into a silverback of the same rank as Ubumwe, he could not stand being given orders and decided to stage a fight and challenge Ubumwe. The fight went on for weeks and then months. Finally, Charles managed to snatch from Ubumwe a few females and formed his own group. Since then, he has commanded respect and recognition from Ubumwe. Taken with Nikon D50.
Model – Meluxine This is about as ghetto as studio-esque lighting gets. / It’s called daylight. / I know, weird hey. And it’s so cheap it’s scary. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas ps. if you happen to own/know of this ‘pasta’, I would strongly advise against trying to eat it. The model’s only just getting her taste buds back.
Doesn’t he look pleased with himself?
Just a design I did for class, I kinda liked it. / So here it is.
An occupational hazzard associated with being the official photographer for the RSPCA WA! This little guy’s sole agenda was to jump at me and latch onto whatever he could. In this case it was the leg of my jeans, but he also had a good chew on my hand, camera strap and even a 50mm lens! This puppy was re-homed the day this shot was taken. Profit portion of any sales will go to the RSPCA WA. Taken with a Canon 5D and 50mm prime lens @ f1.8, ISO 1000, 1/400th sec, handheld. Featured in Canon DSLR Group Feb 2009. Featured in Workshop Camera Club June 2009. Placed in top 10 (9th) in Paws ‘n’ claws Dog Profile Challenge, August 2009.
“Chicle” ~ Bubble gum machine in Solola, Guatemala ~ October 2008
It is amazing what inspires our art sometimes…I was out shopping with my sister and my mum one day when I spotted some chewing gum splatted onto the carpark concrete. My sister looked at me horrified and said…”you aren’t going to photograph that are you?” I said that it looked like Kevin Rudd (the Prime Minister of Australia) dancing like no one is watching him. She laughed and said I was nuts! She was so surprised when I sent this to her. The original untouched image was the right arm, body and both legs. It had some lighter colouring on the shirt area similar to what is showing on the right leg. I turned that patch into a shirt using the photoshop liquefy filter which is my all time favourite filter. I also used liquefy to pull out the left arm and the shoes. I added a head and hands and was left with a cute dancer, my sister was very impressed, she now studies chewing gum spots whereve she goes, thanks for visiting. Taken with my Kodak Z8612IS camera
it was almost pitch black when i shot this, its a 6min exposure at f15, i used an led head torch to get some detail

Most of you know the story of Jake. He came to us about 2 months ago now from the Animal Shelter. He weighed only 50 pounds, and was sick…and got sicker and lost more weight. It is a wonder he is still with us, but as you can see he is now a very healthy looking boy. He is still on the thin side, but he is still growing, and eating us out of house and home. His favorite occupation is chewing…and chewing, and chewing. Lucky for us he understands the difference between toys and furniture! This is the third old shoe he has had as a backyard toy…he can destroy one in a couple days. I still cannot understand why anyone would mistreat this dog. I took him with me to the hospital when Bob was in, and he made friends with many of the patients. He is friendly and affectionate, and full of joy. We are so happy he has become a part of our lives!
