  • Using a digital photo I shot at a local car show I created this image… I am an avid car enthusiast owning a 1960 Corvette since 1983. Often I’ll take my Vette to car shows and then I’ll spend most of my time not around my Corvette greeting people, but busying myself taking photos of the many cars and people…. The truck in the photo is a late 1940’s or early 1950’s Chevrolet pickup…. Software used was Paint Shop Pro ver 9 and Artweaver…

  • In a farm field, among a bunch of other old rusty things, was this colorful old Chevy truck, smiling big, as if content in it’s retirement days…

  • They cruised the streets on weekend nights, went to drive-in movies, were driven by weary dads to jobs that paid for the tract home and the family Chevy, were drag-raced on lonely roads by teenage males who knew they were untouchable, were tinkered with, outfitted with Chevy big block engines . . . for many car enthusiasts, the tri-five Chevies ruled.

  • This display of produce was carefully arranged on a wooden crate in the back of a vintage Chevrolet on display at the 2007 Royal Melbourne Show. Because we were indoors and under cover in a pavilion, the light wasn’t the best. Accordingly, I used the bottles in the foreground to emphasise the sharpness of the pumpkins, green and red apples and tantalising grapes as the main subject in the background. It was only after I viewed this shot full-size on my computer that I realised the grapes were the only artificial element in the display! I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my work in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F8, 1/60 sec, ISO 800, focal length 68mm. Featured in BITS AND PIECES, September 2009. Featured in BERRIES, FRUITS AND SEEDS, October 2009. 47-9365
