We often visit Chester Cathedral for lunch and on this afternoon we were later than normal, the sun was low and just caught the stained glass against the sandstone wall. / / single jpg + 4 copies through PS and ToneMapped with Photomatix at -2,-1, 0,+1, +2 © photogenique (dave peddie): using this image for any purpose and in any way, without prior permission, may lead to legal action.
The unique thing about this state park, located close to Chattanooga Tennesse, is it has the Tennessee River going along two sides of it. I was able to get sunsets across the river as well as sunrises (thanks ros..lol)

This White Pine Tree was beautiful as the sun cast through its branches creating beautiful colors! I added an accented edge to give the needles more of a glow. This photograph was taken in West Chester, Pennsylvania, right behind my parent’s house, with a Canon 40D. /

CHESTER CATHEDRAL AT NIGHT
While visiting in Pennsylvania, I always go to my Grammy’s grave to pay my respects. This time I went not only to do just that, but also to capture deer, since I have seen them there before. Unfortunately, the deer saw me before I saw them – scratch that idea!! However, I took pictures of beautiful old trees while the sun was setting. I knew this would be a spectacular sunset and sure enough I was right!! It was awesome to see such beauty in a place that is very sacred to me! This photograph was shot with a Canon 40D and has not been manipulated other than to increase the shadows. /

Located just outside of West Chester, Pennsylvania, I have been wanting to photograph this barn for many years. It has a charming allure and rests on many acres of beautiful farmland. Chester County is full of old stone barns and buildings of which many were built in the 1700’s. Not too far away is Brandywine Battlefield, where a portion of the Revolutionary War took place. This photograph was shot with a Canon 40D and manipulated with a guaze underlay for a soft effect. /

Taken with a Canon 400D, Canon 100 – 400 L series len, F5.6, shutter speed 1/1000 seconds ISO400, edited in Photoshop Marmots are generally large ground squirrels. Those most often referred to as marmots tend to live in mountainous areas such as the Alps, northern Apennines, Carpathians, Tatra, and Pyrenees in Europe, the Rockies and the Sierra Nevada in the United States, and Northern Canada. However, the groundhog is also properly called a marmot, while the similarly-sized but more social prairie dog is not classified in the genus Marmota but in the related genus Cynomys.
This is where I work in Chester. I took this image (minus the snow) this evening after work. I wanted to produce a Christmas image of the shop for all my friends back in the Manchester head office. I thought it might be fun! :) The building it’self is one of the oldest in Chester with parts dating back to 1571 (you can just about make out the brass numbers on the front to the right). Next year we are celebrating 30 years in business as “Lee Louise”. In the past the premises have been used as a hairdressers, tea rooms and opticians amongst other things. In the very beginning, this area of Chester was part of “The red light” district and the next street along is called “Love Street”. Number 70 Foregate Street was used as a brothel in those days!!!
