I did a tally. I have photographed around 220 species of Australian wildlife / (including more than 190 species of bird!). / All found and photographed in the wild over the last couple years. Yet I consider myself a novice ‘birder’ and don’t even use binoculars / to help me locate species. Recipe: research + petrol + walking + luck! / (add in some flies, dust and corrugated roads for good measure) To me there are few things more satisfying than travelling and exploring / new places then finding new species to add to my photo collection. / Australia has such an amazing variety of wildlife out there! Our travels have included wetlands, coastal areas, mallee scrub, / woodland and forests. Day trips or longer trips that can see us camping / in the car and ‘roughing it’ for a few days at a time. / I love it – each trip is a bit of an adventure. “Tiffany” is a teddy bear / I hand made myself. / Each bear I made was unique / despite being created from the / same pattern which I designed. Like traditional teddies, I made them / from mohair plush, with glass eyes, / suede paw pads and fully jointed. One teddy is living somewhere in / Italy, another went to a Teddy Bear / Museum in Japan. I kept a few for / my own collection but I no longer / make them. Hope you enjoy my bears and / bear photos.
