If there is an explanation for this, I suppose it is that I tend to be more of a whole-brained thinker. I know it’s hard to tell, but, even when I have only half a mind, I am still using 1/4 of each side lol So, I love the softness, disorder, wafting things .. and I love the rigid lines, order, mathematics of a well formed cube, etc. I tend to love them best, together, bouncing from one thing to the other. I suppose this is what also makes me an extremist, and it is not, after all, my Scottish ancestry. Which is fine by me, as, to the best of my knowledge, I haven’t any Scottish ancestry, so I amn’t sure why people would think that was the cause of it. Oh, sure, there is that whole ‘Peace or War’ thing, but, hey: who died and made them the Quibble Sheriffs of the world? No, seriously. I want to know: who? Back to reality, my main point is that I had nothing in mind, particularly, upon the creation of this, but such things as “Oh my, this would look good near this, if it could intersect just so and be colored like thus!” Some things were painting, some things were copied images utilized in layers, some things were done by mask, etc. All of it was oodles and oodles of fun and I shall, yes, stare at it off and on and be in awe of it and wish I could create something half so lovely. I know .. I did. Tell me that!

Spell Chequer
by clarkeyEye have a spelling chequer / It came with my pea sea
This was e-mailed to me earlier this year – i thought it was priceless and VERY, VERY relevant. After reading a Forum topic, I thought it would be appropriate to post this. Having been a secretary for many years, i find the degradation of our (English) language appalling; I also think it’s bad manners not to take the time to make sure your contribution is correct in all ways. However, as one member said in the Forum thread, i find myself biting my tongue rather than correcting or criticizing someone – they are contributing and that is what RedBubble is all about. I’m not claiming to be perfect in my use of my language, I make mistakes which I sometimes miss. With the ability to Edit Posts, I will be able to crrect them as soon as I see them. I find it very hard not to correct THIS!!! :-)

Inspired by a web image of Alicia Keyes. At least, I think that is who it was and how her name is spelled. ??? At any rate, it was inspired and I do mean inspired, so kindly none of this “Oh, I love the way you altered it” talk. This is a painting, thank you! Digital, but painted.

Artist’s Comments / This is my interpretation, as it were, of some other artists work. I cannot remember exactly where I saw the painting so I am not sure how to give them credit for the original. Anyway, this is my drawing and so I upload it here. But because it is far too reminiscent of a painting I was using for inspiration, I do not sell it at all.
